y2karl Sony for the ent. center (max size 48")
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crystal picture. Intuitive controls. Assembled and setup without a hitch. Never got a TV up and running so quickly before. and I'm only handy/technical enough to be dangerous. Am only giving sound quality 4 stars, but I haven't really messed with it.

Best Buy Home Service A Winner!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony 48" Bravia A9 is the sharpest and most realistic color I have ever seen. I read most of the TV reports and in the 55" size, Sony took all the awards. Now that I have purchased and enjoyed the TV for over a week, I am very satisfied. My desire was to purchase the 55" and had the Best Buy TV specialist come to my home and evaluate all components of our built in surround sound system. He found our custom shelving was not quite large enough for the 55" model and that our wolfer was not performing. His service prevented multiple mistakes and saved a lot of time and trouble that would have occurred if I have acted on my own without his in-home consultation. I would definitely recommend this TV and the Best Buy home consulting service, and installation expertise to others.

Can’t say enough
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony has don’t it again; creating a great tv! The picture quality, sound, and ease of use are phenomenal. There’s no glare from windows or lamps, too. Perfect size, and love the sturdy base.

Worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box this tv is amazing. Picture is crisp, black is black. Picture adjust to surrounding light levels perfectly. If you are in the market for a non gaming tv like I was this is the perfect set. Got mine when it was on sale $300 off. I would have bought it anyway. You won't be disappointed.

48 in Sony OLED TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very satisfied with this television as it replaced a LG Oled65b7a that suffered burn in due to logos for news channels. Colors seem to really pop out after adjusting brightness. Also impressed with the television speakers.

Sony Oled A9S 48inch: Breathtaking Viewing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Sony Master Series A9S is stunning. I have a small seating are in the bedroom, so from the sofa or the bed, the 48 inch size works. For streaming I recommend the Nvidia Shield, which I have hard wired via ethernet 200MB, although I am sure the onboard operating system is fine. The Shield connects to AudioEngine 2plus speakers, so I haven't yet experienced the A9S 'through the screen' audio. The picture quality is rich and vibrant; the Master Series processor on this set upscales brilliantly. I have a 65inch Sony 950G 4K and an LG CI Oled. This SONY A9S is just so beautiful; difficult to know how it could be bettered.

Fantastic TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this on sale for $800. Picture is fantastic. Lacks some of the gaming-centric features like VRR and 4K 120 Hz. But if you live in an apartment or put this TV in a smaller space, you may not even need a soundbar.

Buy it
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has been very awesome to use for movies and streaming. The picture is beautiful and it's perfect size for a small room. Only issue is it doesn't support HDMI 2.1 for the ps5

Just buy it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phenomenal. I outfitted my business office with a TV and initially purchased the Sony 50 in X90J for this project. I selected this television because we have a prior generation Sony LED with FALD (X900F) at home, and I have been very impressed with this TV. I got the new X90J on the wall and was disappointed; in my humble opinion it did not handle contrast nearly as well as the prior generation X900F, and as advertised, the viewing angles were poor -- this latter limitation was more pronounced than I expected. Moreover, the A9S was only about $200 more with current discounts. The OLED is a shockingly better TV than the current high-end LED panel (again, Sony to Sony comparison). Unless cost is the singly biggest driver in TV selection, at this size (48 - 50 in), there is simply no reason not to select the OLED. The LG OLED TVs are also fantastic (the actual panels on the Sony are made by LG anyway); however, the price on the Sony was the same right now as the current same-size LG OLED, and the speakers are better on the Sony as well as the software package in my opinion.

Didn’t quite get there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected next gen from this model. Sadly, only the color and closeups were good. Farther out and in general, the picture was darker side and could not be adjusted past 50 on brightness, sharpness was mediocre, sound was average. Coming from a Samsung UHD I was used to the sharpness, brightness and good sound. Don’t buy Sony if used to that picture and sound from Samsung, this model is a step back minus color and HDR. The Sony was easy to set up, 5 stars there. Sadly the picture did not meet my expectations and was returned.

Nice set
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to understand that an OLED is not as bright as an LED. Once I got by that aspect I was very happy with the tv. The contrast and color was amazing. Motion rate was much better than I expected as well. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having it for about 8 months this TV has been completely smooth and effortless when transitioning from different applications and whenever I use the google talk button and ask it to do something or if i ever just use my Google home mini in the room if im away from the remote it does it just as smooth with the connectivity between the 2 devices. Switching over from my original Samsung 43in TV that I've had for years and loved by the way over to this TV. I gotta say I'm just happy with the change in brands and giving Sony a try after a Sony expert at bestbuy had talked to me about it.

Phenomenal TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best TV I’ve ever seen in my life! 1080p and 4K looks phenomenal on it. All the added tech things are incredible too. Phone hooks up to it if you’re using Apple home kit. Different little things like that this tv has. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. The blacks are black. The whites are white. Color is rich right out of the box. Content can look 3-D dimensional. I am the pickiest person in the world I have bought more TVs than majority of population and this one is absolutely the best. The only negative if you wanna call it that is the size…obviously a 78” or bigger tv would be ideal but one day this will be my bedroom tv and I’ll get a huge one. Do yourself a favor and stop the LCD nonsense and SEE OLED properly. There is no tv that beats it and it is worth the price of admission.

Great TV, but . . .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first unit delivered wouldn't even light up the screen. Sony was good about providing the replacement that does work & works well*. Beautiful picture, * but a week after installation, we notice vertical jitter for broadcast video. Very distracting at times. Turned off MotionFlow & CineMotion per web recommendations, but no reduction in jitter. TV signals are from a cable box. Problem from the cable provider ??? And I never could get otherwise-working earphones that I plugged into the 'headset' port to work. Still working on the 'minor' issues . . . .
