The tv comes with a stand and it's quite sturdy -If you are considering a sound system. Not necessary. The sound quality on this tv is decent but if you want the extra system go for it especially for movies etc. -Was debating this or the LG oled. Sony picture quality is more appealing, sharper imo, but would rec to see these two models in person. LG will be great for gaming and the colors are quite brighter than Sony. -Chiming with another review I read - I feel like 48 is quite small and 1k for this model will be fair imo. Hopefully BB will drop the price further and more customers can consider this versus the LG.

Google is a Problem with this TV.

Amazing TV with brilliant screen contrast and res

Despite being OLED, screen brightness is superb, contrast ratio is amazing and screen response is good. In addition, when used with Apple TV 4K, dolby vision mode looks really vibrant and bright.

It does want you to use Google TV but doesn't require it. I only run the TV in HD mode, but it will operate in 4k and 8k modes. it's fast - lights right up. I'm happy with it after a couple of months.

I'd also rather NOT have all the built in google stuff. Very Heavy if you have any muscle issues or joint issues moving this thing will be a pain. Asks for way too much first time set up info as well be prepared to sit for a while. Assembling the stand was also annoying as the connection point to the tv has small areas on both sides where your hand might not fit, so screwing in the screws is difficult without a magnetic screwdriver to hold the screws. Doesn't play well with high end computers frequent screen tearing (using the hi-endy hdmi 3 port)

I love Sony products. This unit replaced a 1080 Bravia. Works well with Sonos. However, I wish I would have investigated Bose. I believe Bose has better sound quality.

Master Class TV XR A90K

I decided I wanted to get a mid size and I took my time making a decision on my choice. Sony puts more love into their Master Class TV's so when the 48 inch XR90K went on sale for the black Friday/Cyber Monday sales I decided I would grab one. I'm not a gamer but I do enjoy a lot of sports and various shows. The picture and sound quality are out of this world fantastic. I cannot imagine a better tv. Sony really did their homework on this one. My experience at Best Buy was great. Sale went flawlessly.

Great Smart TV

Very delighted with this TV; the Smart features are really good. My wife and I can cycle between TV, NetFlix, Prime Video, etc. Took a few days to get used to all the added features, but it really works well!
