Not as bright as Samsung but if you take it off energy saving you will be find. Remember this it always going to be another tv brighter every year. I will recommend this tv especially if you a Sony person. Don’t tv gives you a more natural looking while Samsung look saturated which I like

I struggled with sound bars for years and wanted a new TV with good sound. I love this Sony with onboard good sound and needless to say many other features like an illuminated remote that's so nice since I am always watching in a dark room. Also love the pedestal base since I put this TV on a dresser and like to turn it side to side depending where I am sitting and didn't have to mount it to the wall.

Never Buy open box.

I bought it originally as an open box and got it for a great price. However I had it for 16 days and it stopped working. And the error that it was giving was for a backlight hardware issue. Won’t ever buy open box products again. Picture , sound , and refresh rate are top notch. I love Sony TV ‘s and soundbars.

Documentation that came with it was nil, but I managed with onscreen instructions. I do have one issue. This is supposed to be a "Smart TV" that one can download apps to run on it, however Sony, Google or whoever restricts some. For example, I have Xfinity for my internet service and with my Firesticks I am able to download anything and run. I cannot download the Xfinity Stream app and I also cannot do the same with my paid subscription to Glenn Beck's Blaze TV. I had to plug my Firestick back in as a go around. Seems to be a bit of Big Brother going on here, but I'm basically satisfied with the TV. Picture and sound are really good.

Although some of the apps are not natively supported in this TV, you can use your mobile device to cast Xfinity content or other apps to this TV. Please refer to the link below for more information on how to use Chromecast Built-In (Google Cast) on your TV.

Only recommendation is if they allowed 2 blue tooth devices at the same time. My daughter and I like to sit up after hubby has gone to bed. We bought another device that is supposed to plug in and allow this, but it doesn’t work. At this price point it should have that option. Otherwise couldn’t be happier!
