Because the old one was only a 720p I chose not to spend any money in fixing that one. I love everything about my new Sony except for the quality of the sound. I miss the deep base that I got from the front speakers that were on my old one but I know all of these newer very slim tvs have the same sound problem. I have already gotten used to this and it doesn't bother me as much any more. Overall I am very please with my purchase.
