    My husband and I bought this tv hoping to cut down on the gaming consoles usage and have things simplified with a smart tv. The moment we got it and hooked it up we realized it would not work. It has poor Wi-Fi connection and randomly shuts down on its own. Its a constant battle to make it work. We've gotten to the point that we never watch tv on it and just use our old Samsung for Netflix and Hulu watching. DONT make the same mistake we made a buy this television!

    Sony kdl 48W650D not Up to Other Brands

    Poor Color. Their Live Color doesn't look real and if you sit close to it the TV resolution looks distorted. I like my Samsung's much better. Disappointed in all the hype by store salespeople. Sony must being paying a larger volume bonus to push this produce.

    Don't buy if you plan to mount

    We are loyal Sony tv customers but this was poorly designed. There are only 2 HDMI ports and one is covered up on the section where you are supposed to mount it. We are returning this.

    Buyer beware- There is a major design flaw on Sony smart TV's which allow bugs to get behind the screen and move around. This is NOT covered by any warranty! There is no way to remove the bug so you are left with something crawling around your picture. This was a gift last Christmas and has performed poorly since purchased. The monitor control takes time to adjust when going from a dark frame to a bright frame.

    Damaged piece arrived

    HI All, Yesterday I purchased this tv and came home with lot of expectations. When i unpacked it to assemble it the TV. There was a damage in the frame of the tv. Now it is a pain for me to again return the TV and get a new one. Such a great disappointment. I dont know if the damage happened in bestbuy or sony. But end result is I got the damaged piece. Waste of time, waste of energy and waste of trust.

    Bought TV. Bought wall mount. After a half hour of unpacking and setting up, I started to put the vertical mounting brackets on the back of the TV. THEY BLOCK THE HDMI PORT & OPTICAL SOUND PORT!!! How did this get through the design phase? Completely unacceptable. Went and exchanged it for a Samsung, which my gut said to get in the first place. Come on Sony...this is a non-starter for me.

    Stopped Working 3 Years In

    We were so disappointed that our almost $500 TV stopped working three years after we bought it. While it was working, we still were not thrilled with the functionality. The apps were finicky and we often had to restart the TV. Will not be buying another Sony product.

    Dismal performance! Constant trouble connecting to wi-if when our Samsung always connected great. After ONLY 18 MONTHS, TV is DEAD: NO PICTURE! Of course it’s now out of warranty and Sony won’t help at all!
