Though Sony Bravia XBR49X700D has 60 Hz native refresh rate, the Motion Flow XR240 does make the motion a lot smoother. I bought this TV coz it has Android OS and was expecting to see Lollipop but was really surprised to see Android 7.0 (Nougat) with latest security patch. :) To add to my surprise, the very next update came within a month of purchase in July with security patch from June. And this update brought the awesome Alexa TV control features which allow me to control various functions (On/Off, mute/un-mute, volume up/down, channel change, input source change) of my TV via my echo device with an easy to follow setup. Sony has added a lot of great features to fine-tune audio and video according to your needs. There are ample of Input/output ports and also comes with an IR blaster to control all your Infrared controlled devices from your TV remote. It is an android device so an occasional restart may be required every few days to keep its performance high. Cons: 1. Audio output is not that great so your own audio system would be a good idea. 2. Remote with this 2016 model is an IR remote. The one with 2017 model is bluetooth, I hope 2016 is upgraded to same as it has the S/W support for that remote. But one can use "Android TV" remote app to make up fro that. Pros: 1. Latest android with regular updates 2. Integration with Alexa 3. IR blaster 4. Nice picture processing engine for super smooth 4k experience 5. Built-in Chromecast receiver. 6. Internal memory can be expanded with a USB drive. If you want to browse internet, I would recommend buying a cheap bluetooth Keyboard mouse et / hybrid keyboard with touchpad. Overall worth the price, given its Sony Bravia. I would recommend this to anyone who is an android fan and willing to spend a bit extra for quality.

I never owned a Sony before but I am now sold. I purchased this at Best Buy in Fayetteville, AR and took it home & had it setup & running in a few minutes. This TV practically connects itself! I was totally in awe of the video quality & sound. This is a smart purchase for a "Smart" television.

I have surround sound but I think it sounds better from the TV . The picture is awesome from any angle & it connects with ease to my Wi Fi computer. I love to watch it with Netflix & Amazon Prime.

I installed this TV in my outdoor patio area. Perfect size for outdoor area. But all my TVs are Sony... so I'm a lil bias

Granted, my previous TV was a 10 year old, 37 inch, 720 Vizio. I'm glad I waited until this one was on sale. I am not disappointed. I'm sure someone more tech savvy then me can give you the full break down. However, I am thrilled with this TV. You can view it well from all points in my living room. The color is amazing. I love how it syncs easily with my phone for Pandora and connects easily to the internet for Netflix, etc. I had this up and running 45 minutes after I got home. Easy to setup.

TV works great in living room. Perfect size and looks great. Netflix is easy to use as are other programs. Remote is adequate. Had to purchase a wall mount since back legs were a tad bigger than my existing 24" stand. Otherwise a perfect tv for us!

Being a gamer that has several consoles hooked up, including a Blu Ray & DVD player, I needed a TV with at least 4 HDMI inputs, as that is the amount of inputs my 16-speaker Mitsubishi had before I purchased this. I was looking for a 1080p HDTV with 4 HDMI inputs, but then I found this 4k TV with that same amount, so I found more than I was looking for, and at a decent price, at that. Then I purchased an HDMI selector box with 4 more HDMI inputs, and then I was all set. Having used the TV for a couple weeks now, I can say I'm more than happy, and I've noticed no lag whatsoever. The picture is amazing, and even though I'm playing 1080p discs on this 4K TV so far, it upscale's everything, even my YouTube videos I uploaded. The picture is beyond vivid, and viewing my pictures via the USB port also looks crystal clear. I only have one complaint, which is something that didn't happen until I did an online update on the TV, about a week and a half after I started using it. The channel that I have selected on the TV is always displayed when I turn the TV on, and it doesn't go away until I select that channel again with the TV remote. The channel being displayed should just go away on its own after a few seconds, like it used to before the update, but it doesn't. Its only a very minor issue that will hopefully be corrected with a future update. That aside, I'm very happy with this smart TV, as I needed a TV with at least 4 HDMI inputs, and I found it. Highly recommended, especially for the price. Lastly, if you're a gamer with more than a few gaming consoles, this TV is for you. It even upscale's PS3 games to look better than they did, and like I said, I've noticed no lag whatsoever.

Before I purchase this product, I read the reviews online. I was pleased with what I saw so I purchase this product about a month ago. So far, I can honestly say I have no regrets. For a Sony product the price was a steal. I bought the Tv for $699 . The picture quality and sound are very good. I also like the fact that it comes with apps such as netflix and youtube. I would recommend this tv to anyone who is looking for a 4k tv. Although televised stations are broadcasting 4k tv shows and movies yet , it is still worth it to buy a 4k tv. The reason for that is you are future proofing your 4k tv. When verizon eventually broadcasts 4k quality tv and PS 4 and XBox does the same, the will jack up the price for a 4k tv. In my opinion, go buy a 4k tv now while they are fairly cheap!

This is my first 4K hdr tv and I am pretty impressed with the quality of this TV! It was such an easy setup and while it didn't instruct me how to turn on hdr for hdmi ports, it was easy to find. A couple nitpicking things is that only hdmi port 2 and 3 support hdr output and I've also noticed when enhanced mode is turned on, the hdmi inputs will intermittently display their not connected unless you restart the tv. This has only happened twice and haven't seen it happen recently. Great starter 4K hdr tv!

Just hooked up the TV and it took care of the rest. If I turn on my Playstation, the TV automatically flips over to the correct HDMI output. My 7 year old can operate it easily. He easily gets on Netflix too. Great picture too. I've it 3 months, I have no complaints.

I needed a 4K flat screen due to the size of the room. While I was on a budget, I pushed it to get the Sony due to its mix of features and the good reviews it had. I've had it for roughly a month and I am very happy with it. It upscales both web and 720/1080p streams very well. It is easy to view from angles. Color is good, and while there are better out there, they cost a lot more. Downers: Nothing major, one would be the Controller, which is lack luster and uniform in size so easy to pick up backwards. The channel/input interface is a bit clumsy but I'm using internet providers mostly so there is some jumping around from one to the other. There may be a way to set those up so they are easier to access and I have not found it yet. Final Take: Overall, I'm very happy I bought this Sony. A bit of buyer's remorse evaporated the more I used it. I'd buy it again,.

just what I was looking for, right size for the space I needed it for, good color, good picture quality, like most of the features, don't care for the save energy feature as it interups the programming after 4 hours, if there's no activity.

Very satisfied with this TV. Picture quality is excellent, and the Android TV interface is, in my opinion, the best smart TV platform out there. Easy to use, yet powerful with many options available, from a wide selection of apps, to web browsing, and Android screen and content mirroring. Price is a bit higher than some other TV sets, but for me, it's worth it for Android TV and the flexibility it offers. Sony's video processing also tends to be better than most as well. Premium price, but it's more of a premium product, too. Only real negative is that the built in speakers are pretty weak. Sony has a soundbase, HTXT2, that pairs perfectly, even uses the TV remote for controlling, and fixes that. Adds cost, but makes a great combination.
