The 49” Sony 900E is a “Best Buy” for $799!

Sony TV’s are still the best in my opinion and I jumped on this model when I saw it on sale for $799. I considered the new 900F but decided there just wasn’t enough of a difference in features to justify paying $300 more. Get the 900E while you can!

Just Buy It

With a native motion rate of 120Hz, huge dynamic range and full array panel lighting, the 900E is an exceptional display and worth the extra dollars. You won't be disappointed. Just buy it.

Requires Google membership

Cannot access apps without signing up for a Google account. Not even the free 30 days of Sling TV. Im not interested in Google and their tracking and info gathering. Returning tv in the morning. Sony should state on the box that Smart Functions are not usable without a Google account.

Buggy OS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my tv 2 months now and when it works it is wonderful, unfortunatly that is becoming less frequent. At least twice a week the picture goes blank and the only way to get it back is reset the tv. This is a bug in the andriod OS that has existed for years. Sony has no fix and Andriod doesn't appear to care. Just google Sony tv picture goes blank and check it out yourself.

Constant crashes

Not I get the red flashing light at the bottom of the TV every few seconds to an hour or so. I can't get through a movie without the TV crashing on me. I'm consigning this TV to the dump and trying a Samsung.

Spider in the middle of my Screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this TV. Evidently it is easy for small insects to crawl in between the screen.. NEVER had this happen with any other TV or manufacturer. Now my $950 4K television has a spider behind the screen that is very annoying in bright scenes.. Called Sony support to have them rudely tell me that it wasn't an item covered under warranty.. Evidently they don't stand by their product and what I consider to be a manufacturing defect that this is even possible.. Horrible Sony, just horrible.. This will be my last Sony TV purchase as a result.

Disappointed with Sony

Two days ago the screen panel failed you can hear sound but no screen won't boot up to the home screen just green and white horizontal bars. Geek Squad came out took pictures sent them to Sony and we have to wait a week perhaps more for replacement parts or for Sony to get back to Geek Squad to let them know what to do. Very frustrated!

Broke after less than a year

Basically the TV picture will only stay on for somewhere between a few seconds and maybe 10 minutes. Software is fully updated, it's just a bad TV. Needs to be repaired. This is the 2nd time this has happened for me with a Sony. Will never buy one again.
