I do buy Sony a lot. Only docking a star due to the sound. You have turn this thing up which makes me nervous for the t.v. speakers.

I never had a remote with such poor frequency connection. I literally need to walk in front of the tv to use the remote, unlike all remotes I ever owned. No there is no plastic covering the signal and I installed brand new batteries. The real reason for the one star is that I decided to contact sony in hopes of a simple replacement rather than go back to the store. Four different Sony numbers all hang u[p on me and tell me to talk to their useless BOT on their website pages. Now I have to take 2 hours from my day to go to the store to even attempt a remedy. Like others said, I should have stuck with samsung. Sony now has the title for worst customer service and support. So to the agent they pay that will reply and apologize, words in a review response are useless if they are not accompanied with a positive action and remedy!!

Be cautious when buying an open-box TV.

It arrived with sub-optimal brightness (the left side was less bright than the right side) and it has scratches that could be easily seen when the screen was off or just a dark scene. It also came without a remote and stand. I am disappointed because that damage wasn't mentioned when I ordered the TV online or when I picked it up. At least I returned it without a problem.
