Reviewing 49" X800H Sony TV

The new TV has fewer setting options as well.

Disappointed with shipping

So dirty that we had to clean carpet after setting it on to unpack. TV seems to be working well, and the damaged box does not appear to have impacted the operation of the TV.

The worse tv I've ever seen in my life

Every thing that can be possibly wrong with a tv is wrong with this one.. Biggest mistake of my life.. Returning this for the Samsung QLED. False advertising stating that this TV is Bluetooth enabled but doesn't work for every Bluetooth speaker.. Only Sony speakers are compatible. I have to constantly factory reset my Vizio soundbar cuz the sound decides to cut off whenever it feels like it. This TV is god awful.. DO NOT BUY.. YOU'LL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED

Good but not great

Purchasing a soundbar that I hope will improve things. I only wish I could afford the more expensive OLED series.

Bad blacks and flash lighting on this tv.

Its Going back and will go a model up and stay away from edge lit tvs even though the 800e is one it had a much better picture. The one good thing this one is far better with its android tv then the 800e but I use fire tv cube anyway.

Beautiful picture

Don't buy Sony

Our TV lasted for3 months when the audio started intermittently failing. When I called Sony their response was that it was a software problem and that I would just have to wait for the next release. The problem kept getting worse until I had no sound at all. When I told them I had no sound, their first response was that I should keep waiting for the next software release. I responded by saying that I wanted the TV fixed or a replacement. After 15 minutes of fighting with them they finally agreed to send a service man but they did not know how long it would take until the service could be done. So my primary TV has no sound and I do not know how long it will take to get it fixed. I will never again buy a Sony TV.

One tv works great and the other one is a lemon.

One is trouble free while the other one has malfunctioned from the start. It turns itself off without warning and won't stop doing it despite a number of fixes recommended by the manufacturer. We're thinking about returning it. I would not advise anyone else to buy this model. There are too many issues and bugs that Sony needs to work out.
