Wish I wouldn't have bought it

The tuner is going out already and I've only had it 5 weeks. 1 week outside return window. The menu is lousy, and best as I can tell, lots of features have been removed: For example, there is no users manual, so I go to Sony's website for instructions. But you can't follow them, because they removed that feature somewhere along the way. / The Android TV portion is not useful at all. / I was having to reboot the thing (not just turn it off then on again) to get WiFi to reconnect almost every time I needed to use it. A factory reset seemed to fix that issue; but I only watch OTA TV, so with the tuner having issues, it's becoming more and more useless by the day. Wish I could go back in time on this one.

Too difficult to operate

My insignia tv had for 7 years has has better picture.

Very disappointed

My fault but still contrast is horrible when watching programs like GOT. You can barely see what’s going on. I tried adjusting brightness, , gamma, etc ... but no luck. Stuck with it

Occasional No Audio

Not Sony Picture Quality

Picture quality is not what I have come to expect from a Sony television. Was very disappointed. Lots of streaking, low light, and the blacks were all more of a charcoal/gray. Sorry Sony

Sony tv & sound bar

Initial home setup by Best Buy was excellent. Poorly engineered unit. So bad I had Best Buy install it. Long story short is when a power outage occurs and power restores it is disconnected from the tv with no sound. I’m an engineer and was advised that it’s very difficult to set up. Even Best Buy tech on line could not get it working again. Returned it for credit as it’s technical design appears to be faulty. Also when the house visit was cancelled because tech could not get to me within the window Beat Buy said I would receive $50 because I waited at home for over half a day and no one showed. Haven’t seen anything about that offer since. Previous purchase of an Asus laptop, recommended by the salesperson - unit turned out to be garbage. Doubt that I will ever do business at Best Buy ever again.

Received faulty screen TWICE now. Do Not Buy!

It's noticeable on white scenes or any other light scenes. Very annoying to buy a brand new tv that comes with a defect right out of the box. Like I said, this happened twice now with the 49 inch model. The marks were in different spots so I know it's not the same TV as the one I returned. What is Sony doing?

TV setup is too complicated, unfriendly to use

APPS are huge issues.

In order to run apps on this product daily I am required to go into my settings, manually force stop the app then manually restart my TV. Not just turning it off I need to hold the power button until it prompts the restart. Then, about once a week I need to unplug my TV. I am a SONY brand person, have been my whole life, my family was a SONY distributor in the '70s and I grew up with their product. I really think that teaming with GOOGLE Android was a HUGE mistake! TV Picture is beyond AWESOME, but the processing really leaves a lot to be desired. I am HUGELY disappointed. More so, Best Buy has the attitude that it is my problem.

Doesn’t Support Screen Casting

After I unpacked and installed it, I tried to configure and use this feature. Could not get it to work on my own. After about three hours working with Sony support, they finally told me that this TV does NOT support Miracast, even though the Best Buy web site listed it as so, and as an Android TV, it should be supported “natively,” as several tech articles seemed to state. I’m extremely disappointed with Sony and Best Buy.
