Expected better sound quality but no.not wearable under water

STOP WORKING VERY EASILY AND THE VOLUME IT IS NOT GOOD.

The headphones stayed put and held up from his sweat during runs. It fits nicely with the ability to switch out the earplug size. He uses the mp3 often. It's useful since there is no need to carry a phone in an armband and no Bluetooth required. The charging port only lasted for one year and it stopped working. Good thing I bought the 2 yr warranty when I first purchased this item. We were able to take it to best buy, get a new one without charge. I extended the warranty for the new one too. Buy one and don't forget the warranty! Keep your email receipt. It comes in handy for returns or replacement . He hasn't tested this in the pool so I can't give it 5 stars. He says the max volume is good, but some people may want it louder. It's also easy to upload music.

Stopped working properly after a few swims. Took back and got new one which gave me the same problem.

This product works good once you figure it out. I have waited years for a product like this so I'm determined to figure it out. It's far from perfect; in fact it kind of takes you back to the 80's when the first Walkman was available! My tips are to find the right ear buds; when they fit properly the sound is really good in the water. After about 20 mins of swimming laps, one ear will inevitably get water in the bud and the sound is compromised. But, I still have music while I swim so I am happy. Getting music onto the device was a challenge. Most of my ITunes songs weren't compatible, but I hadn't bought any recently. When I purchased new songs, they would easily transfer by drag-and-dropping into Media Go (the Sony app that works with the device). Arranging the songs in the order I want is still a challenge for me. I finally arranged them by tempo (I like starting with slower beat music and then pumping it up as I get tired to keep me going). Yesterday, the device wouldn't play anything at all; it was frozen with the power on (would hear beeps). Finally discovered via Google there is a reset button. That unfroze the device, but still couldn't play music. After much frustration, I found out via Googling to try to clear all the music off the device and reformat (via media player, not media go); then I added the music back onto the device and it worked! I went for a swim and it worked great. The sound was fantastic for the first 20 minutes, then water got in the bud. You can dry it out with a towel, but I just kept going. The sound was still decent. This product is far from ideal. However, I gave it four stars because I am so grateful to have music while I swim. I think $99 is a fair price for the item. Anymore, would be too much. If you do go for it, watch the video that they recommend for how to fit the device. Very helpful. I put on the device first, then pull my ponytail through the two bands and put my swim cap over the bands, the sound is better and the device doesn't move as much. I keep my ears out of the swim cap, too. And, the smaller ear buds that fit deeper into the ears provide better sound quality. If the sound is 'distant' than the device is not fitted properly. There' s a huge learning curve, but I think it's worth it.

works well in water. I wish it had a better file synchronization interface.

Because of the many different earbud sizes included i was able to get the perfect fit. I love that I can use them in the pool and go strait to the bike and run with never taking them off

Great way to listen to music while swimming!!! Love it!!!

I have been looking at these for a while and finally decided to make the purchase. I'm so glad that I did. Took them out for a run today and they did not disappoint. I did have trouble with the Media Go software, but I was able to drag & drop after playing around with it a little. I've been raving about them all day and I would definitely recommend them.

Sony - 4GB* Wearable Sports MP3 Player is a good product, worth to buy.

Love being able to download my songs to this device and go workout/run without having phone attached to me. Had one of the earlier versions and it got water damaged had to have this one!

I gave this as a gift to be used for swimming. It works pretty well, mostly in that scenario as it has good storage amount.

Awesome when it works, after 1 use would not turn back on. Exchanged it and this one works hit or miss. Sometime's it will be recognized by one computer, then it won't charge,then it'll mess up and just autoplay on the computer and won't be recognized at all in windows media player. Tried it on all 3 computers will same bad outcomes. Now it just won't turn on anymore and computer says device is malfunctioned. Call Sony support on the first one and they said they'd call me back. Never did. So unless you want to spend $100 on a pair of earplugs stay away.

it is good for working out! it stays in my ears ..

I went to Sony website tried the many many steps in their troubleshooting page. None of them worked. asked to return them and they would not do so. Even thought they worked from beginning, Sony rep told me ut must be my computer and not the MP3 head phones. I have never been so upset with poor customer service, DO NOT buy this product if you expect Sony to stand behind the quality and be a stand up company.

They were great while they lasted. Had one year warranty and one headphone stopped working 2 months after the warranty expired. Went to see if they could do anything with no luck. A couple times when I plugged it into the computer through the USB the computer wouldn't read it. But when it did work it was great. Made swimming a lot less boring.

I live in Miami , I have my own swimming pool at home and I swim every day. This product is useless. The sound is so low you can't hear the music with the noise of the water. It falls off continuously after a few laps, what is really annoying specially if you swim against the clock. I would not recommend it because it is not designed for high performance.

My M3 Sports player worked for about 3 months, then would not charge, would not work at all. I took it back to Best Buy and they did nothing. The salesman actually said he had seen a model that quit after 10 minutes. He thought maybe the battery was bad. VERY POOR SERVICE. I could not find an address on Sony to return.

Works fine, just a little cumbersome to turn off and on.
