Great CD Player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 and not a 5 is that it's deeper than my prior Sony 5 CD player, this it was a tight fit in when I replaced the old one with the new one. Also the controls on the front aren't user friendly. Using the remote is much easier.

Yeah! A nice 5 disc CD player.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Customer Service from Jeremy in TV department at Best Buy, store #221. I bought 2 other CD players from Best Buy and had to return them because they wouldn't work with my older Bose Radio. Jeremy was very thorough, even checking out my Bose radio on his cell phone to make sure it would work, gave me simple to understand instructions and Bingo! It works great! Can't thank Jeremy enough for helping this lil ol lady who is technology challenged. You have one great employee there!!!

works fine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit was easy to set up and worked fine right out of the box. Did not have to read the manual to figure it out. Some of the commands, like shuffle are only on the remote. It does seem to take several songs from each CD in shuffle all mode, but that does speed up the time between songs.

Great for full featured disc-changer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If tyou don't want to hunt and peck through hundreds of discs but want to manually load a small number and control them directly and easily, this is your device. Great for a dinner party or brunch where you don't want to fish through hundreds of discs or do elaborate play lists, but just manage a few discs at a time.

Basic CD Changer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This player is a basic cd changer with the ability to playback MP3, AAC, and WMA files on cds as well as on usb flash drives. Howbeit, it is primarily designed to play back MP3 files over the other two formats. This is because for both AAC and WMA files it only supports 44.1 kHz sampling frequency, whereas for MP3 files, it supports 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, and 48 kHz, and VBR. This Sony model was originally came out in 2010 and I hope Sony is working on the next model with the ability to support FLAC and other lossy format. To sum up, this is a basic cd changer with 2010 technology.

A Perfect Fit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We literally wore out the last changer (Same Make & Model) after many years of (ab)use. These are getting harder to find, but to my delight there have been 2 important improvements with this latest incarnation. 1) It now has the power off/on button on the remote. Odd omission on the last box, but go figure. 2) USB INPUT PORT!!!! No need to even convert MP3 to audio CD. With this as an option, there are no moving parts to break. Scratches are a past worry. A 4Gb flash drive holds about 800 MP3s; set it to shuffle, and you're good for a week! One dimension not listed is the height of the player. Including the feet, it measures at 4 inches. If your entertainment center is tight, this could be really important. In our case, the player is sitting on top of a HTPC, and there is almost ZERO room to maneuver with. (In fact, I had to remove the feet from the HTPC in order to fit both boxes into the cubbyhole.) It also seems quieter when shuffling the discs (OK, so I've been a little lazy about converting my collection) Now after 6 months, all seems well.

Not what it is labeled
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure why this is sold as a CD player/recorder when it only records from disc to USB port, not from external sources or even disc to disc.

works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.almost bought the onkyo 6 disc player that was on sale for the same price, but it was about a half inch too deep for the cabinet it was going into. The Sony had a lower rating on the BestBuy website at that time, but I bought it anyway. Glad I did. When I looked it up on a couple of stereo review sites, the Sony was actually rated much higher than the Onkyo. I have had this for a few months now and it does everything I expected it to do. Sounds great and I really like the shuffle feature and the optical connection. I have several Sony products in my home and have never had any problems with any of them.

CD changer kinda stripped down
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slightly disappointed Sony is stepping down their game by taking some of the important buttons off the front panel -- like time/display, repeat, continue, shuffle, program, and fader (fader not included at all). The Control A1 II feature has been phased out, so it cannot communicate with my existing 300 disc changer. Also there is no longer a jog dial; RW/FF buttons double as track skipping. Still though, it works well and does what I need it to do. Love the disc exchange feature. Never have / probably never will record to USB.

Solid reliable player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My mother still uses a CD player and her last 5 disc player finally died on her after years of continuous use (It was sony also). Just like the last one, this one was easy to set up and get her started on. Best Buy has a cheaper model, but I reccomend this one for it's long life and reliability.

Tell me if there is no volume control
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How can something be sold without a volume adjustment? It baffles my mind. Luckily, we can make it work but seems like an oversight in product reviews. It also simply seems like a standard feature in product!
