This is our first flat screen TV. We have had great performance for over 20 years with our last two Sony TV's. This 49 is awesome ! Best Buy Guys were great also !

I have been hemming and hawing on a new TV to replace my 15 year old plasma. First it was what size do I want. Next was 4k or 1080p. I think I must have read every review on BestBuys website as well as watched every video review on YouTube. I finally narrowed it down to 4 tv sets to see upfront as well as made my mind up I was not going home without a tv. I walked into BestBuy and having seen all tvs in action on my list but could not make up my mind. I then talked to a representative giving him my list of must haves for a tv. They were at least a 120 hz 5o inch screen with minimum motion blur for sports watching as well as something to play my vast collection of SD DVDs. He recommended this TV. It was the last one available as well as last years model with a great price. So I bought it and brought it home. It has been a few months since I set it up and this TV turned out to be golden for me. I love watching sports and they look great on this tv as well as my collection of DVDs. I am a happy camper to be sure. As a added bonus the availability of streaming of videos has been fantastic. I didn't think I would use it much but I find myself using it more and more. While this tv may not be 4K hopefully down the road when 4k is more mainstream maybe I will revisit my choice but right now this tv is everything I want or need. I heartily recommend it!!!!!!

Bought this tv for a bedroom,however we used the tv for the family room For 5 weeks and it is big enough and clear enough for even a living or a family room.

I purchased an open box version of this TV for my bedroom. I didn't need 4k and was only looking to get something larger than 36 inches. With Android TV, I was able to dump all cable boxes and run a HD Home Run cable card tuner! Minus 1 star for Sony not having a "Sleep Timer" button on the remote. You have to navigate through the home menu to set a sleep timer.

It is a good product, very good image quality, but it is difficult to access to HMDI entries. In the equivalente 4k it is a better access to HMDI entries.

My Sony Tv is Crystal clear and has a beautiful picture, the picture is perfect. I've had the TV about 2 months and it is exceptionally great. Thank you

Tv is nice... Picture is super clear and the sound is great.... Was disappointed about the internet but have come accustomed to how it works....

Great quality, really thin. Amazing clarity. The only thing I wish I would have done different would have been to get a bigger size for the living room.

Very good quality, vibrant colors and screen clarity. Fast motion for sports and action movies. Takes getting used to the Android apps and setup.

I did a lot of research before buying and I am very happy with this purchase. Picture looks great.

Netflix is easy. Good smart TV. Happy with the ability to customize the picture even thought there are many preset picture modes. Sound is good

Very beautiful tv with beautiful picture. The 3D is awesome. Just the right size. Bought this on sale for $550. No complaints. Easy to set up & I love the smart features. I replaced an older Sony projection screen tv that was still working but it was time to upgrade. Sony lasts a long time. No problems with my older TV is why I purchased Sony over Samsung.

Had to turn motionflow off because of soap opera effect for watching TV and movies. Great picture.

Good buy. Clear pic, great for my PS4. Sound kinda stinks, bit nothing a sound bar couldn't fix

The desing of the tv is a great fit for my living room. The Google apps and PlayStation now availability is cool. 3D glasses come separate.

This is my first HD Smart TV. I have researched several brands. Since all my TVs were SONY, I ended up purchasing another SONY. I am so glad that I got this. It is high quality and user friendly. The size is perfect at my living room and I enjoy watching baseball games and Netflix!

Completed much review before settling on this one. Easy to set up and program. Bonus point is it has a DirecTV RVU so it can hook up to a Genie.

Finally got a large, flat screen TV. The price was good and delivery came right on time. The screen is just the right size for my area (50").

Very good TV overall. Black levels and screen uniformity are great. Off angle viewing is not that good but typical for a VA panel in this price range. Color was a challenge to adjust accurately. Preset color options not very accurate but after much tweaking I was able to dial it in and now it looks great. Comes close to a higher-end Sony I have with a Triluminous screen. Excellent TV for the money. I am well pleased.

Can't believe how clear and perfect the picture is on this set. We enjoy watching show again.
