It works wonderfully and looks amazing. My only complaints are that variable refresh rate with 120fps is not available yet, but will be implemented in a future firmware update (No date announced though). The other complaint is that you cannot enable Dolby Vision and 120 fps at the same time. If you want all green checkmarks on the Xbox Series X/S, this, unfortunately, is not the tv for you.

Definitely more responsive than the android tv on the x850d. Image quality from streaming apps is just amazing ! Colors look good . In dark scenes you do see some backlight bleeding. It's a minor thing but still a great tv .

Specs Show Wrong VESA Mount Size for 50" Model

Just want to give a heads up that although the specs show VESA size as 300 x 300, the 50 inch version of this TV is actually 200 x 200. Relying on the specs, I ordered a new wall mount and began setting it up for 300 x 300. When I unboxed the Sony, I saw that I could still use my existing mount, which I fortunately had not yet removed from the wall. Hoping I can return the opened box mount (not from BB)...

The 300 x 300 mm vesa mount is compatible for our 55", 65", 75" TVs. The 50" X90J TV works with any VESA compliant wall mount bracket with a screw hole pattern of 7.87 x 7.87 inch (200 x 200 mm). All that said, here are the problems I have with it: The remote is fairly useless as it has tiny letters, no backlight and confusing icons. I can do everything I need to but the handling is a bit convoluted. The list of available apps does not seem to include PBS. I like their presentations and have to stream them from my iPhone.

I though my plasma had a great picture, but this tops it! The upscale makes my HD look like 4K. It’s amazing. The sound is really great, too. Streaming from the internet is smooth an without a hitch. I don’t need Roku or Apple TV any more. I don’t even have to run an internet cable to the TV. Wi-Fi connects beautifully.

Great TV for PS5

I bought it because I bought a PS5 and wanted a decent tv with HDMI 2.1 ports. This TV has 2 of them. You just go into the settings and "enable" it. I am very pleased with how the PS5 looks and the detail and colors of movies. If you're looking for a cheaper TV to go with your gaming this is a good one to grab.

I purchased the same model for the master bedroom months ago and purchased this one for the guest bedroom. 120Hz refresh rate give this TV set excellent picture quality while having 4 HDMI ports gives me plenty of options to work with. I’ve been buying Sony products since 1991.
