We needed a 50 inch tv to fit an existing built-in cabinet in a house we purchased, and this one fit perfectly. I'm giving it 5 stars for sound, but please know that we don't use the sound from the tv as it feeds into a stereo system.

I'm not a fan of Smart TVs in principle, but I think I'll have to learn to deal with it. Comcast does not have native support for Sony TVs right now, so have to go through Roku for that. It works okay, saves me another Comcast box. My only quibble is action sports, the balance between sharp picture and clean motion flow has been a bit difficult to get happy with, but I think it's getting there.

Open the Settings menu. These options vary depending on the model of your TV.
Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later):
On the supplied remote, press the Quick Settings gear icon button. Select the Settings gear icon.
Using the HOME menu button: On the supplied remote, press the HOME button. Select the Settings gear icon.
Adjust the Motionflow setting. This step will vary depending on your TV menu settings. Use the steps that best matches your menu::
Select Picture settings → Picture → Motion → Motionflow.
Select Display & Sound → Picture → Motion → Motionflow.

I've replaced it with this Sony 50" X90J 4K Bravia. This Sony displays wonderful picture colors in detail. I am very pleased with this TV! Although, the quality of sound could be improved on when watching old TV shows. I'm wondering if I should purchase a soundbar.

This TV has an awesome picture, and the user interface is super easy to use. As usual though, the sound on these types of TV's is not that great, so you will more than likely need some type of sound bar. I have a Sony HT-XT1 that never quite worked right on my old Samsung TV, but it marries up perfect with this set.

Sony vs Samsung, no comparison

The issues I had with both Samsungs were numerous and thought it was perhaps tied in with internet issues. Not so. The Sony actually responds quickly and the image is pronounced. Can only compare to what I had and it puts the Sony on a higher pedestal.

I think the various settings offer something for every user, I use custom but would also use cinema mode depending on which movie or lighting required the adjustment. Had a difficult time installing the Disney app. I tried all the suggestions I found on you tube. Finally I rebooted my modem and was able to activate the app- which is weird because all the other apps installed with no issues.

We're glad that the issue you've encountered has been resolved by rebooting your modem. If this happens again, you may also try to soft reset the tv, hold down the power button on the remote until the restart option show up. Restart the tv, this will not erase any settings. Then try to power off the tv again to make sure the Bravia logo is gone. The tv screen should be off in standby mode.
