    Too large for our Loft

    Worked as well as it's intended replacement, a 43" Sony TV. But. at 50"s it was way too large for our 8 X 10 Loft, our mistake, we returned it!

      Hi Flyguy1111,

      Thank you for the feedback and we're sorry if you are not satisfied with the picture quality of the TV. When a video in SD quality is being scaled up and played back, the quality will look poor, even on an HDTV. A video must have HD quality to be played back at high quality on an HDTV. A video with SD quality cannot be converted to HD quality or displayed in SD resolution without stretching. However, by adjusting the Sharpness and Picture Mode of the TV, the quality can be improved.

      Also, when using a set-top box, recording device, or other external device that does not support HD quality, videos are displayed in SD quality. Even when the external device supports HD quality, if the device is connected to the TV by an analog method, videos will not be displayed in HD quality.

The X90J supports features specified in the HDMI 2.1 like eARC, 4k 120, ALLM, and the VRR will be available via a future firmware update. With HDMI2.1 you can get a 120fps frame rate on compatible games, so you'll have the advantage in shooting, sports, and high-performance games with the instant on-screen action. You'll also enjoy ultra-smooth gaming with a reduced input lag of less than 8.5 ms with 4K/120fps and dedicated Game Mode.

      PS5 game supporting 4K/120fps required. Input lag time measured via 4K/120fps game HDMI input based on Sony internal testing.

    HDMI from PC quit after 6 months. I had bought this to use as a computer display @ 120Mhz & looked and played great at first but failed shortly afterwards.

    What happened to Sony quality?

    Within a month of purchase, the screen would just go black. Now we have a flicker in the lower left corner of the screen. Best Buy refuses to exchange the TV so now we wait for a repair. Very disappointed in the TV and not happy with the Totaltech membership as we were told that we had 24 months to return the product if it was defective.

    For the first week I was so pleased and then there was an update and them issues started. On xbox on the homescreen you csn see tiny vertuxal lines on the screen and it just doesn’t look rigjt ! So I contact customer support . They were little to no help asking dor me ro send photos but thr photos dont show the problem . I have tanen over 50 photos snd no edo tbe issues justice . Wish I had never purchased !

However, with all LCD/OLED screens, regardless of the manufacturer, there may be a small number of dots that do not change color. This is normal operation for all LCD and OLED screens from all manufacturers. Most defects are noticeable only when an all-white or all-black picture is displayed.
