Way better than our 10 year old tv

Then I switched it to a you tube 4K video and she says, ok it’s a lot better than our old tv on cable but was it better than the old on on you tube as well? Well she might not be sold but I am. The sound, the picture quality and overall is better than anything older than 5 years old for sure. I’m sure cable tv quality will improve soon to get the most out of the 4K technology. Sony quality speaks for it self vs LG, Samsung and others. I see no need for a $2000 tv when cable quality is lagging.

Sony 50x80j TV

The colors are true and the picture is absolutely amazing as the only drawback is the sound quality. I have had Sony TV's before and my 27 inch Sony Trinitron lasted over 20 years. You pay a little more for there TV's but it is definately worth it. I would definitely not hesitate buying another Sony TV in the future.

Nextgen ATSC 3.0 needs improvement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked other things about this TV, except for, in my opinion, one major problem. This probably won't matter to most, but for anyone getting their TV signals OTA (over the air) with an antenna, here's the problem. This tv uses the newest tuner called Nextgen ATSC 3.0. On certain channels, while changing the channel, it would take 5, 10, sometimes even longer for the image to show on the screen. You'd get this little circle that spins. If you're channel surfing, it's drive one crazy as it would take forever to get through the channels. I called Sony tech support and they just told me that's the way it is. So for now, I will stick with ATSC 1.0 tuners in the TV. TV's with this should have a way to turn the 3.0 feature off, so that it finds the channel faster, but there is no way to do that.

Worst Tv I ever had

Sometimes from this "amazing" tv you can head "great" sound "hisssssss" For this money you can find much better tv! minimum apps. I bought this tv after recommendation from BestBuy specialist... and I came back after 17 days with all stickers on tv (I did not open it because I was waiting for internet for two weeks) and BestBuy cancelled my return request... don't buy here and don't buy this model this is my advise
