Sometimes, you just don't want to leave your sensitive information, such as your credit card number, saved into a database, which could get compromised. Back in 2011, Sony's Playstation Network aka "PSN" (for the Playstation 3) was hacked, with the whole network going out of commission for a few days. The PSN even had users' account information stolen by hackers, thus forcing Sony to offer free "Identity Theft Protection Coverage" from a company called "All Clear ID", to all of the PSN users (pretty much anyone who had ever logged into the PSN). Because of things like that, sometimes it would be wise to spend cash to buy an physical card to add funds to your online game account(s). If your account unfortunately gets hacked, at least your credit card info won't be available for hackers to steal.

It took a few hours for the codes to come through but once they did I was able to use this on PSN. It was easy and I will use the service again

I made the purchase and within a few minutes I received an email with a code that I was able to redeem on the PlayStation Network. The process could not have been easier and more convenient.

The only drawback here is that sometimes when buying multiple cards (especially of different amounts) your order can sometimes take far longer than it should to process and get emailed out to you. Even still, Best Buy has been handling this issue much better than Gamestop (nearly every time I ordered one from them it took an obscene amount of time to email the code). As long as they keep it this simple, Best Buy will be my go-to for PSN and iTunes cards.

When you place order moments later you receive your download code. No need to go in store, you can buy and download at the comfort of your couch. Plus you get points for doing so! I hate doing transactions on PS store so the added steps is worth it to me. I love Best Buy. Only thing is you are allowed to buy one code per transaction, most likely since you get sent a code and it may not send multiple codes at 1 time

What's to say? It's a card to fund your PSN account. Pretty straightforward! This digital option is nice for converting Best Buy funds into PSN funds quickly from home. It can take a few minutes (they say up to an hour) for the email to come with your code, but it's still faster than driving to the local Best Buy!

This is a great gift for anyone who owns a PlayStation. Lots of items including DLC can be purchased directly through the store. Also, this goes toward PSVue for those who have that membership. It's also a nice way to not have to put credit card info into PlayStation if that is a concern of yours.
