you can buy directly through playstation network, but why not buy the card thru BBuy and get a couple reward points instead.

Steam cards are great cause you can buy them with cash and ypu don't need to have a credit card to buy games online and I got this one on sale which is even better

If I get Zone Reward points for a giftcard purchase, then great! At least I don't have to put my debit/credit card online for surprise purchases accidently done by the children.

When your credit card and PSN decide to stop cooperating with each other despite working perfectly numerous times before this is a great option to have :)
