I never saw the point in needing a smart tv since we have all those functions on our Xbox One, but let be the first to tell you, it is so much more convenient to use it on the TV! I NEVER use the XB1 for Netflix, Hulu, or any other smart feature (other than the CW app bc the TV doesn't have that one) anymore. The picture looks amazing playing content directly through the smart functions. Since we upgraded or HDMI cable it looks great from the XB1 now too. If you are having audio or picture issues (we were having both), do not skimp on the cables! They made the picture and sound (going to a Sony 790 sound bar) a hundred times better! We had a pretty decent cable before too- a Monster Gold series (though it was about 4 years old). But replacing that with a 4k rated one really helped.

Sony 4k TV's offer the best picture quality in my opinion.

This replaced my 46" Sony 1080, I am totally sold on this Sony product. The pictur is vivid and the sound quality is ok. It was fairly easy to set up and has the technology to keep up with streaming and future cable broadcasting

I was upgrading from a 40-inch Samsung (HD 1080p). I am brand loyal and love my Samsung, so I was expecting to buy another one. Once I got to Best Buy - I met a genuinely knowledgable and likable salesman (I used to work at Best Buy, so I know a good one when I see one). He compared the Samsung, Sony, and LG models in this class (55-inch, Smart TV, 4K, Ultra HD), and in the end I went with the Sony. Surprised myself, but it appeared to be the best value and had the nicest aesthetic, which is important to me. Now that I've been using it for about a month, I can say this is a really nice TV. It feels like you have a movie theatre in your living room. The picture quality is absolutely amazing. I read reviews where people complained the blacks weren't quite black enough (which I have noticed a bit when watching Game of Thrones), but this isn't something I would have ever noticed had I not read about it beforehand. I have been really impressed with the Smart TV and apps. I expected to just plug in my Roku stick, but that never happened. If you want a Smart TV because you plan on using the remote control and apps the TV comes with, I can't imagine there is a better setup than this. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. We are a streaming household (no cable) and we plug an ethernet cable directly into the TV. Everything streams perfectly. Older shows "upscale" to look even better, and Ultra HD and 4K content is so good you have to see it to believe it. I recommend you compare this Sony with the Samsung and LG and decide for yourself. As a previous Samsung user, I will say the picture on the Sony does look a bit different. But it's a good different and one you'll get used to quickly.

I purchased this to replace an aging 65" television. I was unsure about buying a smaller model, but this really does look great and is plenty for our needs. 4k content really sticks out and I enjoy Android TV. Well worth it.

We did a lot of research before choosing this tv, and are very happy with the results. Picture clear as a bell, size perfect for our large room, and loaded with options galore. It is a great addition to our new home.

I am a big Sony fan. So I expected a lot from this television. I like the design, the easy of use of the menu's, the main app's like Netflix, ... The biggest difficulty is fine tuning the viewing experience (colors, effects, ...). I am still not 100% satisfied with my current settings.

In comparison to other tv's that i watch at friends houses, this tv has a better picture quality. It has a lot of features that are ahead of the current technology, so that I don't need to upgrade immediately to keep up.

First of all let me tell you that tv is slim and sexy looks. It's also powerful with the content played on it. If you're using HD content believe me you won't be disappointed. Easy to setup and use. Operating System is so smooth. Just need hard wire connection. Or a strong wifi.

Great picture, realistic colors, true 120hz refresh rate. This is a great 4K unit. No blur. Super hero movies look fantastic on it. Better then my old man 1080p Sony. I can't wait until 4K players become affordable.

Had narrowed our choice down to this Sony or a comparable Samsung. Even though the Sony cost more the picture and color are more natural. Very happy with our decision.

I replaced a smaller Sony - moved it to another room. TV setup was easy and color is great. We just watch TV and movies (no gaming) and it is a awesome picture. It is also a great picture for wide angle viewing.

Great TV for the price. The picture quality is wonderful. Spent several weeks researching different brands and models and in this price range could not find a better quality TV with the same specs. and features.

I spent many hours reading reviews and visiting Best Buy. One employee(Taylor) spent time explaining in non tech terms what each product offered. This Sony has a great picture with natural colors. I found other brands to be too bright and also have unrealistic greens. There is no blurring for sports and I can even follow the hockey puck. The picture is good from side viewing. I have watched this tv in daylight and at night, and find the picture to be the same. I do not play games, but for normal tv viewing I am very happy with this product. The Geek Squad installed everything and did a great job. Everything works with my Comcast remote. The Geek Squad gave thorough explanations on everything. This was a very satisfying purchase.

This has an excellent picture and enjoy getting on line and watching 4K video on YouTube. Good price point. I paid twice as much years ago for a Bravia 1. Hopefully this lasts over ten years. Highly recommend!

Great picture, easy to setup, familiar with android so Android TV was a huge plus. Easy to cast my videos etc from my phone and tablets. Great app ecosystem. Ofcourse its sony so pic quality is great too!
