But to my eye, that's true of every TV in this price range and category. I was sold on the Sony because of the Android TV OS. But the TV can't handle it. It randomly reboots, regardless of whether it's over-air TV, browsing the Apps menu, browsing within an App, or streaming. I don't think I've been able to watch it for more than 30 minutes without it rebooting at least once. Although this doesn't render the TV unusable, it's an annoying and unacceptable defect. If I had known it couldn't run Android TV, I would have bought a TV without it and bought a streaming device to plug into it. If Sony makes this right, either by correcting it with an update, replacement, or otherwise, I'll update this review accordingly (based on other reviews, this seems unlikely). But for now, it's a solid Don't Buy.

The best picture quality i had ever experienced. I assumed the new sony 55' would be at the very least just as good. This is unfortunately not the case. I watch allot of premier league soccer and have been disappointed with the clarity of the the picture. I expected better.
