I'm rating this 4 stars because this is a television and not a stereo system. The picture is incredible in 1080p HD and even more incredible when playing blu-ray. Colors are rich. Whites are very white and blacks are solid. The audio quality is subpar but what do you expect out of a slim nearly borderless television? I purchased a sony soundbar and sub woofer on a promo deal when buying this TV which I also recommend.

Easy set up. Beautiful clear picture. Direct cat 5 hookup to my tv. Highly recommend for quality of picture and ease of use.

After the demise of another Sony TV I started hunting for a replacement, This 4K Ultra 55" Sony was the best fit for my needs, and it fit in a VW Jetta sedan. I have liked Sony TV's for years because of their picture quality and the styling. This unit was no exception. Out of the box easy to set up fantastic Picture and sound quality. I am very happy with it and look foreword to many years of trouble free service. Great sales people in the Minnetonka Store helped guide my decision. Thank you !!

This tv has great image, the upscaling works great and tou can see very good images even if the feed isnt 4K. the andorid tv allows you to add apps like SlingTV and others.

It's a Great TV But The TV Control Is Kinda Annoying To Click & The Signal From The TV To the Control Isn't That Great. Love The Picture Quality Remote Kills It Though

Very happy with my purchase - excellent picture and easy to use. Replaced a Samsung plasma TV and well worth the upgrade.

Buying a television with the features I required took some time. I visited the Best Buy store twice before I made my decision. The best buy associate I first dealt with was knowledgeable, professional and kind. I did wait for the tv I chose to go on sale. I did buy the Warranty for the TV and had the geek squad set the tv up and mount it on the wall. Paying for the warranty and the geek squad was money well spent. My geek squad technicans, Amanda and Johnny were outstanding.

The tv has a very clear picture and is easy to operate. Bought a sound bar to go along with it. Works very good also.

We wanted to upgrade to a smart tv. We could. It be happier. Picture is quality is awesome and tv is very user friendly.

I have had the XBR-55X850D for almost 2 months now and must say this was one of my best purchases ever. Love the picture quality (including its upscaling capabilities) especially for 4K material. 1080P material looks fantastic as well. Also love the seamless Netflix integration. As for sound, don't expect too much. No bass, period. I got myself the Sony Soundbar HT-CT790 (connected via HDMI ARC), and it's a perfect match. Now have great picture with great sound for a great price.

I'm a true Sony fan and wouldn't buy any other TV. We had a 32" and upgraded to a 55", which is perfect for our large bedroom. They may cost a bit more but they have superb color, clarity and will last a very long time. I still have my first 65" we bought in the 90's that hasn't missed a beat, although it has been retired to the basement to live out its glory days with the VCR. I'm sure this one will last decades too. If you want quality & longevity, then this is the TV for you.

Easily the best TV out there. 4K Ultra HD and this 2016 model is even better than the previous model. Highly recommended.

I recently purchased this Sony 55 inch UHD TV. I was actually interested in a Samsung but found this unit on sale. Glad I did. The set up was easy. Very pleased with the picture. The audio is acceptable, better than the audio on the unit I replaced. Still plan to purchase a sound bar though. Would recommend it to a friend. I placed my order on-line from Best Buy. Picked it up the same day, the unit was ready for pick up when I arrived at the store. Good overall experience.

Great picture! This TV was an upgrade from a 10 year old flat panel and what a difference! The 4K is absolutely stunning!

This TV literally looks just like the display at home. The colors pop just as much on Netflix as the demo mode at Best Buy which is rare in my opinion. Blacks could be a little better, but we are talking $1100 for a TV so I am not complaining. The Google OS is awesome and the voice controls is insanely accurate. I paired my purchase with a sony sound bar and its wired through ARC. Everything gets controlled by the TV remote, and the Sound bar menu actually shows up on the TV screen which is a nice change from the tiny LCD displays on the soundbar itself. The only issue I have is that every now and then the TV stops sending audio to the soundbar through ARC and I have to power cycle it to get it working again. This seems like a software bug, which in theory should be fixable through an update. Overall this TV is amazing and I would highly recommend it.

TV has a beautiful picture and was easy to set up. Only recommendation would be to purchase a sound bar/sound system with it. The stock speakers aren't all that great.
