After comparing various TVs, both in store and online, I could not be happier with my purchase. This TV has brilliant color, a stunning picture, and the apps link seamlessly to my existing accounts. It even recommends Youtube videos based on my browsing on other devices. There are ample HDMI ports, as well. When I first turned the TV on, I was amazed at how realistic the picture quality is. All in all, a GREAT purchase!!!! Would highly recommend.

This is my second 4k television and this one is better.It has a great picture for sports and video games.

Finally upgraded to the 4K for the bedroom TV. We love this TV, great picture and lots of extra features.

I'm in shock on how great the picture quality is. My wife and I are so happy to have upgraded to the 4K.

This tv has great color and clarity. The size was perfect for my cabinet and is only about 1 1/2 inches deep.

If you are looking for a great deal, this is it! Amazing colour, sound, definition and functionalities!

Was talked into this Sony 55 inch 850D TV from the Best Buy rep and said Sony has tech from years before Samsung started using theirs. But when I got it home and mounted it I could see light bleed issues, possibly from the tv being edge lit and so thin. Was terrible in low light as well and the Android apps froze too often. Returned and bought a Vizio M series 55 inch. Unfortunately that turned out to show worse HDR colors and was terrible with cable tv upconvert. At least the Sony was better with that functionality. In the end I ended up with the Samsung UN55KS8000 that happened to be open boxed and cheaper than the Sony and far superior in quality. The Smart TV interface is smoother and TV itself is brighter and more eye popping. Do yourself a favor and opt for the Samsung TV instead. Rtings.com gave the Samsung a recommendation as best 4K TV and this model Sony wasn't even considered.

Purchased this tv a month ago and still looks great. I did not have any of the light bleed like others have experienced around the edges. The picture is great. Unfortunately, comcast mostly delivers in 720p. However, watching any blu-ray movies are fantastic! I was a little disappointed with the Android TV, there are very limited apps available. Also, the Sony remote does not want to change the channels on my cable box even though it browses through the guide and everything. In the end I think I should have gone with the 65" tv instead of the 55" tv even though our couch is only about 7 feet away. The upgrade in size from our 48" to a 55" tv was not that dramatic. The tv is very thin and sexy. It does not get very hot and the picture is very clear. I bought the Sony soundbar that synced incredibly easy and the sound is awesome. The sound just through the tv is lackluster.

Easy to use, several ports to hook up game systems, fabulous picture!

I had gone to Best Buy prepared to buy another brand of TV with a curved screen. After the sales rep suggested I just have a look at the Sony, I was quite impressed by the picture quality in the Sony compared to the alternative brand. The more I use the TV and explore its capabilities, I am convinced that I made the right decision in purchasing the Sony Bravia.

This Sony TV has exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is superb and the color is fantastic.

I've tried all sorts of trouble shooting and online research; but, the Netflix App in particular on XBox One S is not good looking. It was, and it's running the 4k videos where available; but, with no changes I did, after about two weeks it became a really washed out and faded picture; but, ONLY in this app... I suspect it's actually a programming issue; but, as bad as it is I would assume someone else would report the issue online and I've seen nothing. The Netflix logo is Orange when it starts up... Anyway, other than this one issue I LOVE it.

I'm really enjoying this TV. I've had the TV for a couple of months now and it's shown a few quirks: It's restarted itself a few times. I had to disconnect the TV from the outlet and plug it back in to unfreeze it (it's only happened once). And, whenever the Internet goes down - as it did a couple of times for some electrical work done at the house - I've had to retype the network password each time. Not sure if there's a way to save it. So aside from that, I have no complaints. Great picture! Paired it with the Sonos soundbar and subwoofer. Love the set up!

No problems after 2 months. Gaming on this TV (Xbox One) is like experiencing the games for the first time, the picture is so much clearer than our old 720p. The 4k resolution is amazing. Love this TV, very glad we bought it. We researched every TV out there in the $1,000 price range and picked this one because of its high refresh rate, HDR and 4K resolution, plus the quality reputation of Sony products. We are very happy with our purchase.

I reviewed most of the major brands and came down to the XBR-55X850D and the Samsung 55KS8000. I chose the Sony for the better picture that is more warm and realistic. And this television is suppose to have one of the best IPS panels in this price range. The television also handles 24p movies very well. Be sure to calibrate the television for the best picture.

Great TV After a yr I still look at picture and say, "Wow, isn't this a great picture", to my wife and kids....I think they are a little tired of hearing it, however...its true.

BETTER THAN WE THOUGHT, OUTSTANDING CLARITY AND COLOR, THE UPSCALING CAPABILITY OF THIS TV IS AMAZING

I bought this to replace a much smaller TV that was a few years old. I didn't want to spend thousands for a top of the line tv because I don't watch a lot of tv. I do now. Sitcoms are so clear that it's like watching people through a window. Movies are absolutely amazing. I upgraded my surround sound 2 weeks later because we are enjoying watching so much more. The Android OS makes this tv even better. You can't go wrong with this model.
