We had a old Pro Scan tube TV 36" large screen for the day lasted almost 20 years, so all the new flat screens were a big update, after researching we came down to Samsung, Sony & LG all good TV's, went to the store & loved the Sony picture the colors, the definition seemed to stand out for us, not the cheapest TV but not as expensive as the LG. The hardest part of setting up the Sony TV was getting it out of the box & styrofoam & recycling it, we were watching HD TV in about a half hour (TV stand, not a wall mount) enjoying online, pictures from phone, big update for us, now I will see if it will last 20 years.

Great choice was going to go with a LG 4K but for 100.00 more a much better tv with lots of features for a steaming device. The 4K HDR is unbelievable quality and the upconvert is much better. No lag on refresh also

I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in a 4K TV but thought I'd chance it. It one of the best "chances" I've ever done! It's picture is amazing. I usually settle on products... I'm glad I went 1st class on this buy!

when this brand goes on sale I will buy another one

Purchased the 55" 850D, great picture quality, some people complain about blacks not being really dark but haven't noticed it at all. The Android TV interface is pretty slick, one of my favorite features of the TV.

Thought would be even clearer though..still has a great picture but maybe the next model up would be the right choice. Sony tv's are still the way to go when purchasing a tv. Really didn't see a difference using the 4K cable versus the regular HD cable like recommended.

Booted up to watch the new season of GoT and play Zelda in fashion. Was not disappointed by either. Upgraded from a previous Sony Bravia model without MotionFlow and can really appreciate the difference here.

The picture is brilliant, clear as a bell, even the sound is pretty good. I just love it. I have a larger older Sony in our family room and it is just as beautiful as the day we purchased it four years ago!

Great picture but comes with lousy manual still tryin to figure out remote not much help calling them

tv picture fantastic and lots of inputs for your stuff. but the remote control is awful. slow and unresponsive when switching between source inputs. if you can eliminate th remote from your system then tv is great!

The picture is good but I feel that this TV is a step backwards from previous Bravia TVs (last one was 8 years old). You can't label the inputs so you have to remember what is connected to each input (HDMI-1 - is that a Roku box, or a DVD player, or something else?). If you want to have headphones attached, you must plug them in every time you want to use them, because when you plug them in, they cut out the TV speakers. Depending on how the TV is mounted, it is next to impossible to get to the headphone receptacle. Also, you get an IR Blaster, but there is nothing in the documentation that explains what an IR Blaster does. Overall, I can't really recommend this TV unless all you have is a TV and you don't need to use headphones with it.

The picture quality is great and has tons of setting depending on what type of movie you are watching. I have noticed though that it does pixilate and distort some animated movies. Im not sure if our monster cable can't keep up with the 4k upscaling or what. Overall nice TV.

I researched 4K TV's extensively before purchasing the Sony 55" 4K HDTV from Best Buy. I went to the store looking for another brand, but after comparing it with the Sony I went with Sony. The picture was much sharper and clearer on the Sony. I would purchase this TV again.

I looked at many models in the same category as this one and have to say I couldn't be more pleased. Picture quality is amazing and there are tons of apps. If you're in the market for a 55inch, this is the one

Picture quality is superb. Set up was easy. Months later I contacted Sony customer service to assist with downloading app for an internet browser - they assisted no problem. We really like our Sony products

I have been using this for more than 2 months. The picture quality is awesome good. I change between NetFlix, YuppTV, and other TV apps...the picture is very good... The Android TV is very good..but if there was an iOS app for that it would have been better and good

Sony never fails to impress, replaced a perfectly fine 10 year old Sony XBR series for this model . Amazing App Store, easy set up, if you want a cheaper set go for it, but in the end you get what you pay for...

I am still learning about what the best settings for my new Sony X850D 4K TV needs to be for the best picture but out of the box seems to be pretty good. I would like to have it calibrated and I will give feedback on the picture quality difference if I take that step.

I wanted a 4k TV. And I got it...Plus Android compatibility and Google play store. I can download apps I love and cast from my phone plus many other options. I love that it has the built in DirecTV feature.
