    I've got this tv im 2015 for $1500. Everything is still working excellent. Occasional firmware updates. The app screen is slow, but whatever.

    This TV IS A Piece of Junk

    I bought this TV on May 17, 2015 and it went out on July 18, 2015. The salesman totally oversold the quality of this television. I thought Sony was a name I could trust for quality. Caring the TV back to Best Buy and am anxious to see what they will do about this television. If you want a TV that will last, don't buy this piece of junk.

    Not ready for prime time

    if you bought a 4K television, but have no need to watch4K this Sony set is for you, because there is no way to watch for K on it. DirecTV doesn't work, Amazon prime doesn't work, and Netflix doesn't work at all! Eventually I'm sure the software will be in place but do you want to risk your hard-earned money now with the, hope that Sony will release the software soon. I can't believe they're selling products that are not ready for market yet and you don't know till you get it home.

    Mediocre product not so mediocre price

    I really wanted to love this set but it didn't work out that way. The picture quality is very, meh. Colors are bland and lack vibrancy unless you're watching an arctic scene. User interface is bulky and klunky. Worst part about the set is the sound. Worst I've heard from a set this pricey. My old Samsung un55d6000, RIP, blows this thing out of the water. I'm really hoping the 850d comes thru otherwise it's back to Samsung for me.

    Crisp Picture!

    The picture clarity on this tv is beautiful. It has the 3D function but we haven't tried it out yet. Super easy to set up too.

    OS is the worst out there

    Every time you watch Netflix or Amazon prime, you will have to force shut down the app, then unplug your TV and reboot it to watch Netflix or prime again, the OS hangs up on this and the only thing Sony says to do to fix the issue is reboot the TV, so they expect me to reboot this TV 3 or more times a day. Sony is a joke when it comes to an OS on this TV, it does not work what so ever and their apps, do not work at all.

    Cannot get whites to look white. Either blown out or stay under a good white depending on setups. Have tried all the diff modes and even custom. Not happy at all. Audio sounds really bad too, like a channel is missing. Very midrange even after Qing.Very disappointed. Not sure if I got a bad unit or this is what a Sony tv is capable of. Coming from samsung.

    This was a great TV for 5 years...then one of the led strips went out. This is a common problem. Paid a lot of money for a TV that is only going to work for 5 years.

    Android Operating System is not great

    This is my 2nd review on my 850c. I gave it 5 stars originally, but dropped it down to 2 stars. THE ANDROID OS would randomly turn itself off when I'm watching movies through the media player, Netflix, Amazon, etc.. I get random black spots on the top right side of the TV when watching television shows. I reached out to Sony and the rep suggested I probably have a defective television. What a disappointment. I thought I was getting a huge upgrade from my 2014 Sony XBR55X800B 4K tv. I was wrong. I have not had any issues with my 2014 Sony 4K. I will be returning this tv to Best Buy.

    Bad picture, 3d, and customer service from sony

    I bought this tv a few weeks ago. The picture is ok I suppose. I see some vertical banding and poor grey uniformity. I noticed some latency during gaming but not a big deal. The upscaling technology isn't all that great. I see artifacts in my movies that I normally wouldn't on my 1080p. But honestly I can tolerate that stuff. What I cannot live with is the 3d performance. Crosstalk is so terrible in the background and foreground. I see double images that I have been unable to correct with any of the settings. I have tried both the samsung glasses(highly rated and compatible with my set) and also the 3active. After complaining to sony product support, I received a call from carlos(sony customer relations in florida) he basically told me that I was out of luck since I refuse to purchase sony branded 3d glasses. He said that they would solve my 3d ghosting, yet they are exactly the same as the 3d certified samsung glasses. After speaking with other owners of this set on the sony forum, my research indicates they will yield the same results, so why would I blow another fifty bucks. After some intense words and protest, the guy hung up on me. I'm so infuriated with sony right now. The TV is going back and I will never buy a sony product again. Avoid this television and sony all together unless you want heartache.

    Replaced a 6 year old Samsung with this , My $150 Vizio has a better picture Flat looking no "pop" in the picture. will be retuning it today

    THIS TV NEEDS TO BE RESET THREE OR MORE TIMES WEEKLY SINCE WE HAVE OWNED IT. AT FIRST WE THOUGHT IT WAS DUE TO THE SOFTWARE CONSTANTLY UPDATING, THEN THAT'S WHEN WE THOUGHT SONY WAS TRYING TO MAKE IT MORE USER FRIENDLY BY SOFTWARE UPDATES. I THINK THE SOFTWARE UPDATES MADE IT WORSE CAUSE SOMEBODY AT SONY WAS GUESSING WHAT WAS WRONG AND THE SOFTWARE UPDATES MADE IT WORSE. I HAVE OWNED MANY SONY PRODUCTS THAT WORKED WELL (76YO). AT ONE TIME SONY WAS THE TOP TV THAT YOU COULD BUY. WILL KEEP STRUGGLING WITH THIS TV BUT WILL BE OUR LAST SONY ANYTHING CAUSE I THINK SONY IS NOT THE COMPANY IT ONCE WAS.

    THE TV is Junk I failed to listen to the other reviews. Now regret it the tv is terrible for live football, video games and 3D. TV is not user friendly my new LG is 100% better!
