Researched extensively before buying and narrowed down to 2. Ultimately went with the Sony. Great pic, good color. Weird base/stand though that's not obvious in the store. Not many shows use 4K yet but in time.....

Pros: * Really nice picture - Triluminos is a winner * Surprisingly decent sound but will probably add external speakers * Very accurate voice search * 4K upscaling Cons: * Android apps are very limited compared to previous Sony provided selection * Google voice search profoundly (severely) limits shown results * Only voice search available - NO genuine web browser or search capability - Ugh! For a supposedly smart TV, it performs more like an imbecile. * The clock still doesn't work on the TV information screen (when changing channels) after informing Sony seven weeks ago. When will this be fixed?

This is my second 4K TV to try. First one, Sony, had an awesome picture but it wouldn't always turn on my home theater when turning on the TV. Between that and a few other things with the menu I decided to try this TV. The picture on this TV looks even better to me. It also turns on my home theater every time. The menus are uncomplicated and complete. The apps you can install still seem to be limited and some of my favs are not available. I've noticed some screen lag or jittering on broadcasts of older (15 years +) shows/movies. I've gotten used to it. Streaming from Netflix through the TV's Internet connection is awesome. Better than using Roku. Did I say I really like this TV? Samsung products have become top notch.

It's a great TV and I love the picture when you can find 4k quality movies. It's a bit deceiving seeing the tv in the store, they make it look like the quality you get all the time. You have to have 4k show/movie to get it. You get a great picture as long as the show or movie is HD. The 4k is amazing and the shows and movies on Netflix are very limited and there is only one movie available in 4k that I like and im tired of watching it. Cable is at least a year if not longer before they have limited 4k channels. The TV didn't come with 3D glasses and they are $50 each.

Purchased this TV because I wanted to go 4K. Unbelievable clarity on picture. Smart functions have operated flawlessly. Easy to operate. Great buy!!

I have had this tv now for about a month and have yet to have any problems with it. I love being able to hit the TV Google Cast icon when I use apps on my phone like Twitch, Youtube, or Crunchyroll and instantly have whatever I'm watching on my phone paired to my TV in HD in a matter of seconds! The TV has a lot of settings for changing the picture and the picture quality for the price is possibly only matched by Samsung's JU8500's which are more expensive. Awesome TV!

Great picture right out of the box. With additional calibration using Disney's WOW blu-ray it is even better. Colors are very natural 4K material is incredible.Blacks and shadow detail is very good.

I could not be more pleased with my Sony XBR55X850C LED 4K Ultra HD TV. The picture is gorgeous, and it is intuitive and easy to use. I also enjoy the Sony Sound Bar that came as part of a package.

My first official TV that I have owned. Well worth the cost. If you are looking for outstanding picture quality, this TV certainly achieves it. Along with all the other bells and whistles, you certainly get what you pay for. If picture is not that important to you, then maybe this is above your budget. However, once you experience the 4K quality of this TV, you may not want to go back to anything less

This picture is extremely clear... the current room it's in can get very bright as well as very dark. . TV performs great. The remote is a little hard to get used to, but the voice option is very nice

This TV keeps the Sony tradition of having excellent picture quality. The setup was easy to follow and I especially enjoy the Live Football mode.

We are enjoying some features of the Smart TV, but really didn't need the 3D feature, especially since the glasses aren't included and they are quite expensive. We also didn't realize that the picture in the store is on a setting which potentially can burn out the pixels faster. The technician recommended that we use the standard setting. The picture is clear, but definitely no different than our previous TV without 4K. We are happy with the set, but we are not overly impressed.

I'm very happy with my new TV. I don't think any TV will be better on image quality, and the included stand is very sturdy. The androidTV smart functionality is also very cool - I like it more than my Roku (which is what I had been using) but unfortunately it cannot completely replace the roku yet. There is some bugginess in a few apps (Hulu) that causes occasional stuttering - I have to manually clear the program cache to fix the problem from time to time. Also, some programs (HBO Go) appear to be blocked by Comcast specifically on AndroidTV, but not on Roku.

Works great with Sony's 4K STR-ND1040 Receiver. The sound in 5.1 is life like with Sports and Movies on DIRECTV. Setup is easy, It updated with the internet is very good and downloading the latest software doesn't take long. It's the picture that is so great and life-like. Watching NASCAR and other sports the colors look so real. Just love this television, Netflix and Amazon work and look great.

The picture on this tv is great 4k is just awesome . tv easy very easy to set up .

Would recommend this tv great to a friend. It has a great picture. I do wish the remote was easier to use and that was my only complaint.

(+) Good detail in the picture, simple set-up. (-) Remote is somewhat confusing (no "exit" button), not backlit. Could have better placement of the HDMI ports - too close to the left edge of the TV.

Love this TV. So easy to use! Fantastic picture have recommended this to friends already! Love the "football" button, just one push and bam an already great picture is so vibrant and the sound is awesome! The voice command remote is awesome for smart features! I had the geeks do my install w/ TV, blue ray player and sound bar! Great great experience! They were so good at what they do! Loved them right down to their little geek shoe covers!

We looked for a long time for a new tv for our family room. This is the perfect size, and great color. It is very clear and sharp and great sound. I think this was the perfect choice.

The Sony 4K Ultra HD is fantastic, Very nice quality exellent image Exellent sound , really smart TV simple conection for wi-fi , simple instrusion operation, I'm recomend for friends
