I researched several weeks before deciding to buy. It was between Sony and Samsung. Both are very good, but I preferred Sony at the end due to natural color instead of ultra color in Samsung. I usually have to calibrate a TV to get it just the way I want it, but not with this tv. Picture is outstanding.

I initially bought a Vizio, but screen was cracked when I took it out of the box. Upon returning it, they upsold me on the Sony that was on sale for $1299. I thinks it's a better TV than Vizio. Don't know that i would be able to tell the difference side by side but several review sites have the Sony ahead of the Vizio. I like the Android features. With the Epix and Starz apps, I don't need a cable box to access the On Demand movies from these services.

Good clarity, love the picture quality and video games look awesome. Upscales my blu-rays and regular movies on tv. Well worth the buy. Just wish it would of came with 3D glasses.

Excellent television. Crystal clear picture, Easy setup

I bought this TV after scouring the Internet for reviews. I wanted something that would be great for movies, sports, and video games--really I just wanted one of the best pictures money could buy for this size of a TV in this general price range. Sony delivered and actually exceeded initial expectations. Highly recommend this TV.

This is my first HD TV and I can say I love it. The picture quality is great. Connectivity is convenient. Haven't tried the 3D yet. Fast reaction time. Volume is great for a 1 bedroom. It has earphones too. What I don't like about it? I can only notice if I look in a TV that costs around $3k and up

The Sony xbr55x850c is a great tv. 4k picture is incredible and upscaling is terrific when viewing an HD source. The android os is decent. Speakers sound good for such a thin tv.

Great picture, easy to use. Great size if you are looking for a TV that doesn't overpower your room.

This is my first Sony in years, must say the Sony XBR55X850C certainly exceeded my expectations, easy to use, sharp, clear and my list goes on and on - very, very happy with it

I'm very happy with this tv. Great picture. Excellent features. And it performs well. It does crash or force restart every once in a while but that's the only bad I have found.

Our first new TV in 15 years and it is a great one. Easy to use, great sound and awesome picture!

The Sony XBR55X85OC is an excellent performer--vivid, true colors with nuance and subtlety as well, and sharp, clear focus. Easy to use. We have been delighted with our purchase.

The tv is great and upscale a well. The higher priced will upscale even better but while cable boxes haven't caught up to 4K yet, this tv is just right. Best bang for the buck.

highly recommend this tv if your family watches a lot of sports...it feels like you are in the arena watching the game live...picture is so clear and refresh rate is spot on.

Very nice TV at a great price. Picture is clear and colors are very realist, very easy to set up and connect to audio and wifi equipment. Sales associates were very helpful.

Bought this set to replace my 2010 3D . It looks amazing I can't wait to see Netflix 4K HDR . The only thing I don't like about it is that the Vudu app doesn't support 3D .

I researched a TV for weeks before i decided on a sony, and i dont regret buying this model. It is a good size for a living room, great picture quality and easy setup and use.

The picture is amazing and the color is vibrant. It was a little challenging the first few days but now we can use it easily. The HD channels are like you're in the scene.

Easy setup, no problem out of the box. Picture is very good, however , have not watched anything in 4k. Might want to consider calibration to maximize the quality of the picture.

The 4k Ultra picture is excellent. Also the voice command feature is fun to use. The 3D feature was an added bonus. First Sony TV purchased since the old Trinitron days.
