The sony performs well at a great price. The picture is great and the features are very easy to use. As someone who has always owned a Samsung, it was a pleasant surprise.

You get what you pay for as the saying goes. I've always owned Sony TV's, and I've always been satisfied. Wanted to upgrade to 4K, and found a great deal on another brand. After several days of frustrating settings tweaking i had enough and brought it back. Went to Best Buy where i purchased my previous Sony's, and got myself the XBR55X850C. Right out of the box it performed to my expectations, and i haven't looked back for a second. Typical Sony! spend the extra $, it's well worth it!

This is my first Sony in the past 10 or so years and I'm glad I decided to give Sony another try! Easy setup, great picture quality and super fast refresh rate.

I've Always Trusted Sony and with this latest combination Smart, 3D and 4K television I received must more than expected especially with the service from Best Buy!

This is my 2nd 4K television purchase and while I was blown away by the Vizio I bought, this Sony blows that one out of the water. The refresh rate is amazing.

We are very satisfied with this TV. We looked at the various sizes several times at Best Buy and took measurements. We compared the measurements to the size of the space we had and changed our initial choice of a 65 inch to a 55 inch TV. Sony had the best picture in the store and we are enjoying the picture quality at home on VHS, DVD with and without blue ray. The picture is bright and makes it much easier to see some of our older media as really amazing on the new.

excellent television, great picture quality; lots of features

I've had the Sony XBR850c for over a month now and I cannot explain in words the beauty that is this TV. The picture + color gamut makes my old Samsung 1080p 240Hz LED 3D TV look like antiquated junk by comparison. The apps work smoothly and intuitively, too. The wifi connection needs to be reconnected from time to time but I think that's my router's/internet provider's problem(s), not the TV's.

I have had the TV for a few months now and I'm very satisfied. Great picture and setting it up was a breeze. Updating it took awhile so set some time a side.

This TV is very good, but does not have the advanced deep color feature, so it's not totally "future proof." Nevertheless, it does a great job for current technology. I also have to say that a few of the different picture modes are not great unless tweaked to preference. Haven't tried the 3D feature yet, so that is untested. Too bad that the glasses didn't come with the TV. Also want to say that salesperson Brook Williams at the Paradise Valley store listened to my needs, was patient, and very knowledgeable about all the candidate TVs and Smart features. This made the buying experience extremely pleasant.

Great picture. Easy to set up. Have this hooked to a Sony 4k DVD player and a Bose sound system... Like being at the movies.. Sports are great like this too..

This is an amazing TV, colors are bright and just the perfect size for a one bedroom apartment. Quality of the picture is fantastic, no over excessive blurs.

My regza finally went out recently, and I needed an upgrade. So I went to Best Buy to purchase another 1080p that was on special. As I looked around there were other deals for the 4 k next gen sets available. After talking with the sales rep, this set caught my eye. It was more tv than I set out for, but I am very pleased with the purchase so for.

After a recommendation from Best Buy I researched the TV online and saw nothing but great reviews. Very happy with picture quality-especially movies and ease of use.

I was hesitant to buy this particular tv. I had the 49inch version but wasn't so thrilled with its black uniformity and gray uniformity and performance in darker rooms. Took it back and exchanged it for the 55 inch model. It was between a Samsung and an LG but after much research I went with the 55 inch xbr55x850c and I must say it was a wise decision. The blacks are awesome. Color is nice and vibrant. Image quality is stellar. One problem, it Has a little blackish shadow that runs up the right side. It comes and goes. Thinking of exchanging for another, don't know yet.

I love this tv. I have had to for about 2 months now. I love how it upscales everything to at least 1080p. Watching sports is amazing no motion blur at all.

I had a 51:49 points ratio between buying this Sony or Samsung Js800...i really lean towards the Samsung but bought the Sony because i have a Sony 3d Blu-Ray and might in future get a PS4...so i want them all to stay compatible. Its beautiful and works but PiP feature that i enjoy tremendously in my last Sony XBR6 is lacking here nor does the remote respond to "last tv station or return " button
