Having been an Android owner since the early days of the Galaxy S2, I was curious to see if it was worthwhile to have it as the OS for our TV. Well, after a month or so, I can say that it is. This TV has all the ports in and out you might want, ridiculously good picture (even old stuff looks good on this), and it gets even better if you custom calibrate it to dial it in right.

I love this TV, I was looking at two different TV's the Samsang 55 6500 model and Sony 55X850C and lucky I spoke to one of the Bestbuy sales person. He pointed out the Sony (55X850C) has a faster refresh rate 120HZ then the Samsung 120 MotionRate (55JS6500) model. So my sports and movies look amazing on this TV.

So far so good! Love the picture and the apps. Really waiting for more programs to watch and want to use the 3D picture.

Love the picture. The technology is cutting edge. I can speak to the remote and it does what I say. Awesome.

We like this TV very much. The picture quality is great, has depth, & fantastic color. The sound (important to me) is excellent. We really don't need all the bells and whistles i.e. using the smart hub, but maybe some day I'll use it. Just for a great TV picture alone, and being able to read the info and other words tv stations put up, etc. this is a TV worth getting.

One of the best quality 4K TV I have ever seen! Sony is the best way to watch 4K TV with amazing sound quality! Only con I have though is that the Android part of it tends to not update its clock time and connection. I end up having to restart the TV to fix the issue. Also, I have not found a way to shut down the TV fully. The TV just goes to sleep mode. Only way to fully shut down the TV is to unplug it from the wall. Overall great TV! A must buy!

The panel on this Sony is fantastic, returned a 60" Samsung SUHD for this. The smart TV (Android) is much smoother than Samsungs Tizen based setup in my opinion.

So far I am enjoying the Sony TV. It is such a big screen and very clear and very colorful. It is easy to operate.

Extremely happy with my TV,sound system and wall mount! Picture is crisp and clear. The sound system which was recommended by the salesman is an amazing addition. I feel like I am sitting in a movie theater! The wall mount gives me a lot more space i my family room and give it a whole new modern look!

Great Sony 55" tv real nice! At a very nice price. The picture and the color in 4K ultra color is great.

The picture is not that great lots of motion blur 4k is so so. Just not at all what I expected. Overall it's not bad at all but moving from a 50" c7000 plasma Samsung there is no upgrade here. Software is buggy. Given the chance again I would probably save some money and spring for the lg to be honest.

The 55" TV works great my wife loves it! You is in her own world being able to see more of sporting activities moving up from a 40" Sony! The only issue was getting to the headphones to work properly. My geek nephew had that going in no time at all!

We were upgrading and trying to figure out between the Samsung 8500 and this one. The Android TV was a big selling point for me (The UI was way better than that the other ones I looked at), and for the fact I like Sony more. Initial set up was not as pleasant as I was expecting it to be, had some bumps down the road and then had to reconfigure the entire HT system. If I have my inputs on my Denon the smart TV was acting funky, and then The only way to get it to work was using ARC to the receiver. The menu's are slow and you can surely find a lag when you wanna sweep through them. The touch pad remote is a good addition. The IR blaster that came with the TV does not work at its best. The big thing, up-scaling is amazing in everything I saw at the price range, the contrast is right and colors are vivid. I would encourage spending a few extra bucks for the Triluminous, as it does make a difference. Overall except for the slowness and sluggish menu's its a good buy when compared to the other ones out there.

I previously owned TV's by Sony, one TV didn't last that long, and the other one is still working. I read the reviews and based on the overall reviews, Sony was still making good televisions. I have been very pleased with the picture quality, the HD is excellent. I just purchased the set, last month and haven't tried the 3D or 4K yet. If I am given another opportunity, I will review the other features. Up to this point, I am a Sony fan.

This television has an awesome picture. Extreme side view fades a little, but I never view from that angle.
