Our Sony TV has a great picture and we really enjoy the smart TV functionality

Way back 12 years ago, we bought our first Sony Bravia. It was a huge, heavy TV. It gave us a brilliant picture. When we moved, we went into Best Buy, looked at all the flat TV's and quickly noted that again, the Sony Bravia had the best picture. This time, when Best Buy had a sale, we didn't even look at anything else. Another Sony Bravia. This time a 55". Beautiful picture!

This is my second Sony TV. The 55" is a great size and the picture on the television is excellent. We have opted to add a sound system to the set and hope for an even better quality sound. This was television is a good price.

I was in the market for a new TV, and not necessarily a 4K set because there simply is not any broadcast stations even close to showing content in 4K. I was looking at Vizio and Samsung sets. I had everything written down and asked a ton of questions. I was eventually shown the Sony, but did not consider it because of price. After seeing how the price had come down significantly with the outstanding features of the set, that is what I bought. It is a 2015 model, and I purchased it in early 2016, so it was most likely marked down to get ready for the 2016 models. This set has a great picture and decent sound, and just might buy a soundbar for this, even though I do have an awesome surround sound system I can fire up if I want. This set has excellent reviews, and a lot of them. This is also a 3D set, but I do not use that feature.

Took awhile to figure out the apps, homepage, and setting, but is a pretty sharp picture. Somewhat dark though. View is still good at 45 degrees, sound is loud also at setting 6, so don't believe those that say the sound sucks, only issues are the split screen option not being readily available, and when turning on the tv, it goes back to where you were vs just tv mode, otherwise a good buy so far.

This is my 3rd Sony XBR. I also have a 32" and a 40" set. Never had a service call. Why play with fire. The only negative comment I have on this set relates to the stand. It is too low. I have a Sony sound-bar that is normally in front of the set, however that placement interferes with the operation of the remote. I moved the sound- bar behind the set. Not ideal, but it works.

At this price point you can't go wrong. Sony delivered as they always do with this model 4K TV. Phenomenal contract, colors, detail and SPEED. So much faster then my other 4K tv at the house. Both thumbs up!!

Great picture quality, great color. Sound quality could be better, but okay.

We used to have a Sony and decided to move that one to the basement and get a new one for the living room. I purchased a non-Sony TV and set it up at home. My wife and my kids all said, this new TV is worse than the old one. OK, we exchanged it for a Sony 4K and are very satisfied with the image quality. We only watched HD contents so far, but the upscaling works excellent.

After reviewing most of the available 55' tv's, and especially comparing prices to picture quality, I chose the Sony. By far the best bang for the buck. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the sorry performance of the speakers provided by Sony. It has always been this way with Sony, great picture, pathetic sound. It seems as if they don't even try, but then most brands aren't any better.

I was not sure what to get- bi purchased this based upon the picture in the store, but also the advice of the store salesperson. I'm glad I listened. The picture quality is fantastic, the basic et-up was not too difficult. The only drawback is there are so many functions available on this unit that it is hard to set them all up, but once you do, you may never go to a movie again

Needed a larger TV after moving to a larger home. Sony was my brand of choice, and this TV was the right size with the specs I was looking for. Not certain that I am loving Google as the inbuilt "Smart TV" interface (I'm an Apple person). Also I don't like the aesthetics of the stand on this model, but it is what it is. The picture quality is excellent, and the colors are very true to life.

i really enjoy having this tv. it's great for gaming, no noticeable input lag in third person shooter... crisp on native 4k... waiting for an avid guy to post some settings and should be good to go... pixelation in background bothers me from time to time.. noticed in dark scenes, could be because it's not filmed in 4k... once everything gets there though this tv will smashhhhh

I did a lot of research prior to buying my new TV and I am glad I did. I love this TV, the quality of the picture and all the options it has are incredible.

I have owned several Sony Products but my my last TV was a Samsung and I was not happy with it so I went back to Sony. I love the picture quality and all aspects of the hardware design. I'm not so happy with the Smart TV software. The interface is not as intuitive as I would like. Sony recently adopted the Android OS so I am hopeful thy with future upgrades to the software it will improve.
