WISH IT HAD PICTURE IN PICTURE. THE REMOTE IS ALMOST UNUSABLE AS IT IS SMALL AND CANT BE SEEN AT NIGHT IN A DARK ROOM WHEN WATCHING TV. IT NEEDS TO LIGHT UP. A COMPANY LIKE SONY SHOULD KNOW BETTER THEN TO CHEEP OUT ON THE REMOTE.

SAW A TV IN A FRIENDS HOUSE AND WAS IMPRESSED....WHEN I WENT TO BEST I PURCHASED SONY INSTEAD OF THE OTHER BRAND THAT HE HAD........HE HELPED INSTALL MINE AND WAS SO IMPRESSED THAT HE TOOK HIS 55" BACK AND GOT A SONY LIKE MINE!

After extensive research, I landed on this product as a replacement for an older 60" Samsung LCD TV. I was sold on the inclusion of Android TV as the OS, replacing the goods but not great Sony proprietary OS on the last-gen models. Additionally, the plethora of ports and connectivity options, and of course the picture quality make for what is in my opinion the best package at this price-point. The 4k quality is crisp, with deep blacks and low reflectivity even in a bright room. This is a great TV! I highly recommend.

It's got everything that you can ask for plus all the magnificent features and so high tech.The size was just the right one for my living room. The color as always, was superb.

Love this tv - colors are great, motion control is great, upscaling is excellent, and I really like the operating system. My only issue is that HDR content with dark scenes can look a bit washed out on the edges of the screen.

Was looking a 4k tv and the sony had the best pictue.emil was the guy who help me and he know all about the products that was there and really helped out he knows his stuff.

This is my second Sony 4K tv. The picture is excellent. This tv upscales 1080P content to 4k much better than Samsung. The Triluminos display really brings the colors to life on this 4K. I also own a Sony XBR55X800B and even though the viewing experience is awesome it lacks Triluminos display. I noticed the difference right away. I was fortunate enough to purchase this tv for $999. Very happy with my purchase.

Great TV, always been a samsung fan, my new sony blows samsung out of here. Love that i can cast my movies from my phones.. And i love how clear and precise the picture..

I have had this TV for a month now after upgrading from a 42 inch 1080p and I have enjoyed every moment with it. Picture quality is amazing and the android software is a awesome. Definitely recommend this TV for the price.

Still getting used to a TV being like my tablet, but so far I am very impressed and still learning what my TV is capable of doing. If I knew all it can do and used it to it's full abilities then I would probably give this 5 stars!!!

Absolutely beautiful picture. TV itself is very attractive as picture goes almost to edge and floats . My only fault - this is a 3D television - it came with NO glasses!

After reviewing online details about this tv, I made the purchase for a good price. Took it out of the box, plugged it in, installed a sound bar and PS4 and was pleased with the picture and detail. The sound bar is a must.

Looked at all reviews and picked the Sony. Love the 4K and the picture is wonderful. Also love having the smart T.V. Only thing is I wish the 3 d glasses where cheaper.

Usually purchase Samsung, but had been up sold on this Sony by the Waco, tx. sales representative. Don't get me wrong, it did come equipped with the features in which I was searching for in a 4k tv. And had a excellent picture. But that's where my compliments end. The android os that this thing operates on is whacky. And I use android phones. I contacted Sony everytime my tv decided to freeze, or the menu would scroll around on it's own while I'm watching tv. Their only fix was a hard reset by unplugging for two minutes like a modem. After doing so 2 or 3 times a week, it was time for a return. And it wasn't my Internet either. Get 24mbps download and 3.4 up. Also after reviewing online, saw several others with similar issues. So do your homework. I've had terrible samsung and Sony 4k sets returned. And finally gave vizio a shot. Sure doesn't have a Web browser and other gimmicks. But full array back lighting, and quality picture after some calibration. I'm more than content. Good luck.

Bought the 900 Sony model but had to return it for the 850 model due to a serious light bleed issue. The 850 model is awesome – no defects like better thinner models but the picture quality is identical. Highly recommend.

This is my first 4K TV and replaced my 32" 1080p LCD TV. The screen size is perfect. I haven't experienced anything in 4K resolution yet, but otherwise the resolution and frame rate while using my Xbox One are great. No complaints.

XBR55X850C mostly provides good value for the money if you catch it at a good sale. CRACKLING SOUND One notable characteristic of this model that is not widely mentioned is that during warmup (starting about 5 minutes after power-on and continuing for as much as 40 minutes thereafter), this TV will emit popping and crackling sounds, not unlike the sounds that old CRT TVs used to make as they warmed up. This occurs even with no input signal connected to the TV, and the sound comes from the lower back of the TV itself, NOT from its speakers. I initially thought it might be indicative of a defect or just a bad specimen, so I returned the TV and exchanged it for another specimen of the same model. Same problem. FLAKY BLUETOOTH REMOTE A second issue that I have noticed (only on the 2nd unit) is that the RMF-TX100U Bluetooth remote control included with the TV sill randomly stop working temporarily. This will manifest as complete non-responsiveness of the TV to any button press on the remote, even though the tiny red LED inside the battery compartment still lights up when a button is held or pressed, indicating that the battery is not dead. This issue is documented by Sony customer support with no specific fix. Chalk it up to general unreliability of Bluetooth and commonplace interference in the 2.4GHz RF band. The good news is that (a) the issue typically resolves itself at some random time and the remote starts working again (or you can immediately cure the issue by going into the TV menu, disabling bluetooth radio and re-enabling it) and (b) the TV does also include a second, traditional IR remote (RMT-TX100U) control that works fine. DESATURATES OFF-AXIS As explained in RTings.Com's review of the XBR55X850C, TVs based on VA type LCD panels tend to exhibit color desaturation if you go even a little bit off-axis (left or right). When using this TV as a desktop monitor for a PC at a working distance of 25", this will be quite obvious as you look toward the left or right edges of the screen. You might imagine that an IPS-based TV like the XBR55X900C would handle this issue better, but the difference was fairly subtle in my evaluation of that model.

Great Color, Motion Rate, User Friendly, 2nd Remote which works like a PC mouse is an added bonus. Sound Bar & Wall Mount recommended & will do this TV justice it deserves. Sony continues to set standard in this segment.

I got these because there is construction outside of my office building for the next six months. I figured they would block out a lot of it. I did not expect that they would basically block ALL of it out. Extremely impressed.

Straightforward to set up the TV. The picture quality is excellent and the TV can be viewed from a wide range of angles without degradation of the image on the screen.
