I was deciding between this Sony and a Samsung JS8500. Picture quality between them is very close. I went with the Sony because if has some PC-oriented features missing on the Samsung. This is important to me as this "TV" is used only has a PC and game console monitor. This Sony accepts 120Hz PC input at 1080p (do not confuse this with 120Hz motion processing which this of course also has), and judder-free playback at any refresh rate (24 and 60hz) and *without* the soap opera effect other sets have when motion enhancement processing is enabled. Other sets require that you change your PC output to 24Hz which makes everything ultra laggy, and will usually have some soap opera effect which is not desirable when watching movies. What is pretty cool is, on games (PC or game console) that run at 30fps, you can crank the motion processing up high and it will look like 60fps (I played PS4 Ratchet and Clank like this, a native 30fps title that looks like 60fps when I enabled the processing). There will be some artifacts, and it adds shockingly little latency considering the processing that's taking place in real time to create those missing frames 30 times a second. So why only 4 stars and not 5? Android TV on this TV is incredibly unstable even after several updates. Spontaneous reboots. I've seen some Google apps crash when just using an HDMI input (screen pops up unfortunately so and so apps stopped from Android). There is no telling what Android is doing in the background, as accessing the TV's menu can becoming extremely laggy. The most annoying of all is the included touch remote randomly stops working. I would still recommend this TV because of the great picture quality when used as a TV. It is highly recommended when using it with a PC or game console because of its excellent motion handling mentioned above.

I originally purchased the 49" model of this TV and had glitch-y software... We took a chance and upgrades to the 55" and could not be happier. My husband is OVER JOYED. The clarity is fantastic and it feels like we are in the movies at home. We also purchased a Bose 15 sound bar and it accompanies the TV great. The sound is the only thing that needed improving upon. Don't hesitate to get this TV.

our cable company doesn't offer 4K yet. Picture is still great. I'm sure we are not using all the features, we need a more descriptive user manual

We had the tv for 2 months before a light hit from a toy caused picture damage. We made the mistake of carrying the tv back to Best Buy. Before we moved it, you could still watch tv with the picture only slightly distorted. Once the tv has screen damage, you CAN NOT move the tv at all. NO warranty for Sony TV's will cover accidental damage. Although the tv looks brand new turned off, when you turn the tv on the entire screen is colored lines. If we would have known better we would have mounted the TV very high on the wall and found a clear acryclic sheet to mount in front of the tv to protect the tv. It is NOT strong enough to endure normal wear and tear from a family. The TV was astounding for those 2 months.

I purchased this TV based on online reviews and the best buy associate recommendation. It was also an open box buy so getting a TV this size, with all of the 4k/3D/UHD etc for $1k was a bargain.

Not at all disappointed. Starting out it is constructed very well. Heavier than I thought it would be but solidly built. Attractive stand. I really like the Android TV interface, especially with the touchpad remote. It's like having an extra window on my wall with all my favorite Video and Audio coming through it.

This tv at first looked terrible until I adjusted its picture atributes. Now the colors are great, blacks rival my plazma tv. The Wi if was easy too hook up. I would recommend this too anyone

A Magnolia Level set at a fraction of the cost. The price point combined with the advancement in display technology is the proverbial one, two punch. Had me Hook line and sinker! Great Picture

Happy I made this purchase - was hemming and hawing over what TV to get, this one came up and it seemed like a good deal. Beautiful picture, fast startup, easy to use interface. LOVE this TV.

Sony 55" 4k TV gives a nice picture. The upscale on cable HD channels is very good. Very Happy with picture quality. You must purchase the high speed cables to get upscale from Blu-ray player.

We love our new 55" Sony TV. The picture is clear and beautiful and it has many great features with all the Netflix and Amazon Prime movies etc. right on the screen for us to click on with ease.

This was the my first big screen TV. Great service provided by Best buy. I'm enjoying every minute with this Sony TV. Good quality and especially 3D technology. Thank you Sony and Best Buy.

The color is so clear and bright. I can definitely see a difference between other HD tvs. I'm glad I got to compare this tv to the other options before buying. Best tv I've purchased so far.

I'm loving the picture quality of my TV so far, but have recently started having issues accessing my NetFlix account. I thought it was a Netflix issue at first, but I think it is an issue w/the TV.

I am very pleased with this flat screen television. It has an impressive picture and I especially like the ability to load apps. I would definitely recommend this set to family and friends.

Nice picture. If you have a playstation you may have to hit the reset on the TV settings. It will do a special recognition of the gaming console. My TV was suddenly becoming sluggish until I did this.

Overall pleased with the T.V. Would be more pleased if you didn't have to pay the geek squad to come out and calibrate it to get the best picture!

I initially landed on Samsung but after looking at the Sony with only a slight bump in price and all the additional features such as the higher refresh rate, there was just no comparison.

What can I say said about this amazing TV it has it all. The options are great to have built right in to the remote and the picture is GREAT
