I returned the 950 model due to flashlighting and took the chance on the 850...what a great decision. This TV has one of the most uniform screens I have ever seen from a LED. The color accuracy and options to adjust the picture are top notch and it appears they have ironed out a lot of the wrinkles that plagued the earlier iterations of Android TV. This TV is a must consider when looking at 2015 models.

Easy set up. Great picture. Two remotes both difficult to deal with. Lack of instruction on how to use Smart options and other functions.

It's everything an 4k hd tv should be. It performs better than the higher priced Samsung and it costs less. I'd recommend this tv.

This TV has an amazing picture. It really can not be beat. With the addition of a sound bar it's better than going to the movies!

This is a great television, the options, 4K and 3D are amazing. Would highly recommend.

The TV has a very good picture for an LCD. I recommend to calibrate it or just find calibration values (like here: rtings.com). I find the Cinema Pro mode the most pleasant. The OS (Android) runs sluggish at times, a reboot once in a while helps. The google cast feature is very useful. I would buy that TV again for the price I paid for it (<1000).

Compared to my 8 year old HD Samsung television, this set is the difference between night and day. Blacker blacks and I can see the images in those areas that I wasn't able to see before. If your into horror movies and night time scenes on cable or DVD the Sony 850c is outstanding. Brighter colors and better detail. Thank you Sony!

It's amazing how much clearer the picture is. Even if we don't have the 4k ultra yet.

The picture is amazing, the apps are great. Easy setup -- Sony doesn't let you down.

Good picture, used Geek Squad to program the TV and remote, however they failed to return a phone call when I had a problem.

I bought this to replace a plasma TV. For the price, I think it provides the closest approximation to the picture quality and color of plasma as I could find. I don't like the overly vivid clarity and color of most LED TVs and find the Sony to be a little more realistic.

Was easy to program, was able to connect to me direct tv with ease. Nice color and sound.

Finding the glasses for this model has been a challenge, but other than that it is a great tv. The picture quality is great.

I read all the negative reviews, but bought this anyways. I'm glad I did. The picture quality is amazing, no clouding, and no backlight bleeding whatsoever. The black level is awesome as well. Maybe i'm one of the lucky ones that received a good unit. It seems better than the Samsung JS7000 series I returned, and a lot cheaper than other equivalently equipped Samsung TVs. Why only 4 stars then? Well, because of the "smart" feature. It's really not that smart. It's prone to glitches and firmware updates, and resets. But I'm pretty sure thats with all "smart" TVs, not only this one. It's kinda unnerving when your brand new $1K or $2K "smart" TV freezes and you have to reset it. I'd much rather have a 4K non-smart TV and hook up a Roku 4 to it and be done with it.
