Very please with this tv tied to my Samsung UHD 4K K8500 blu ray player. The picture from the 4k blu rays is amazing on this tv and the tv upscaling of any bluray is exceptional. Directv cable also looks very good. Love being able to play all my Google music and movies via the Android tv apps

I'm blown away by this TV. Now I only paid $699.99 for it since it was "open box." But even had I paid the $1200 it would be worth it's price. This is 3d, 4k, 120Hz Native, HDR, among a ton of other great features. Works with my PS4 and itself can use my controller as the tv controller and the tv can do PS Now with my controller without a console involved. All great features. Most TV's in this price range are not 3d and also lack HDR. Its a very smart TV with a powerful processor so no lag between menu selections, ect. May I add it comes with 2 remotes.. A normal remote and then a smart remote that utilizes a touchpad for scrolling through menus. I find myself never touching the normal remote as the smart remote is so much easier to use. What I can saw is this TV lacks 1 feature over all others... It doesn't have active LED zoning. Which can dim an entire area of leds to give better contrast. In my opinion it's just one more thing to go wrong with a tv. This TV uses edge lit which had been in use since original LED, so it's very proven. I will say it lacks some brightness due to this though... Nothing crazy, but it could be brighter in the day in a bright room. Gaming is great, low latency in gaming mode, I'm a happy camper. I'm missing a ton, but it's a great tv and I'm harsh on TV's.

Great tv, the upscale is amazing along with the contrast and motion flow. the 3D on it is absolutely unreal, I was very surprised and It's better than the theater 3D movies in my opinion. I'd recommend this product for sure. Love it!

The picture is crisp & the color is vivid; however, the picture doesn't have the depth I saw in the Samsung I originally wanted. I haven't been able to try out the 3D feature yet. I was unaware the TV did not come with glasses & the glasses I have (cheap one's) don't work. Reviews online for glasses are mixed so I will visit the Sony store in my area. Overall, I'm pleased.

The picture quality and 3D is outstanding. The interface is a bit confusing. Not a big fan of having to select the input ever time the tv is powered on. Maybe it's a stupid user issue? Make sure to get good quality HDMI cables. It makes a huge difference. I was noticing a delay in the sound until I upgraded to a $100 HDMI. The picture was noticeably improved as well.

This is an upgrade from my Toshiba 46" 120Hz TV. The picture is great, might mess around with the settings a bit, but overall great quality. Blu Ray movies are crisp and the 3D is a plus, watched Pixels and was impressed. Wish I would have went with the 65" though, maybe next time...

Upgraded my TV finally, and was completely blown away with the picture quality and build of this TV. Was on the fence about springing for a 4k TV, but after watching some 4k content it was absolutely worth it. Make sure if you are a sports fan to get a TV with a high refresh rate though like this one instead of some of the cheaper alternatives.

We decided to replaced a 14 yr. old Sony Trinitron 36 inch tv which was still working fine, but it was time to update to a larger flat screen TV. I originally was looking at the 55 inch Samsung with the specs I wanted, but Samsung had discontinued the set I wanted to buy, and Best Buy did not have any left in stock. To get the latest Samsung with same specs it was $400.00 more than the Sony 850C model with the same specs that salesman pointed out to me. I decided that I was pleased with my old Sony, so I decided to go with the Sony, and we are glad we did. The picture is sharp, and colors are just as good if not better than a Samsung flat screen we have in another room. The Geek Squad set up the new TV, and were great showing us the features on the TV, and were very polite, and very careful not drag any snow or dirt into the house going in and out of the house. Very good experience overall with this purchase!!!

The Sony TV has a great picture. We enjoy having Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc, with such easy access. The instructions for mounting the tv were not very clear but we we able to get it up on the wall. Very light compared to our old model we replaced. All in all very satisfied.

Replaced my Samsung which was 10 years old. I have had none of the problems (light leakage, etc) which seem prevalent in the comments. I was after a good TV of course, and one that handled MLB.TV. The app works fine; I have had two system upgrades, one upon original set up, one a month or so later. All is well. The set up is really easy; HDMI as solved a lot of those issues. Comcast X1 platform works fine; a little trouble getting the remote to work the TV and the sound bar. Answers in the Google of course. Minor problems: 1. The "Beep/Boing" when in some of the app menus can not be turned down or off as far as I can see. It is truly annoying. 2. It would be nice to have a standardized keyboard approach, but each app reserves it's own idiotic approach to signing on. Luckily it is only once per app. 3.The stand is not very sturdy and it holds the TV about 1 3/4" above the surface. The receptor for the IR remote is dead center under the screen, so only a really low profile sound bar can be placed in front of it. I had to mount my Vizio on the wall behind and above the TV. Moot point of course if you wall mount the TV. 4. Still haven't found a good internet browser...

I got this tv for my boyfriend, the picture quality is amazing. Little did I know after purchasing it that it was also a 3d tv. Downside- I had to order the 3d glasses from Amazon which the sales Rep didn't tell me. Sony doesn't make the glasses they're oursourced from another country. Took 3wks for $40 each pair of glasses

In general super happy with this purchase. I researched this purchase to death and at the end it boiled down to the in-store experience with the product. Believe it or not, at home it looks even better than in the store which is seldomly the case. When it come to realistic depiction of the color palate no brand beats Sony (within the same price range). The two things that in my opinion does not make 5 stars are: a) one of the two remotes that come with it seems very advance technology but it is awful. It's so sensitive that it is rendered useless in many occasions. b) the sound quality is not great; in particular with some TV shows; albeit is the same thing with my Samsung TV. I'm sure I can play w the settings and make it better but being Sony I expected a better experience. Temporary solution I play it a bit louder than I usually would listen to it. The real solution, buy a soundbar and call it a day

Bought the Sony XBR55 3D Smart 4K TV along with Sony 3D compatible up scaling Blu-ray player, Sony Receiver and Klipsch speakers. Had everything delivered and setup. Since I'm new to the home theater venue I can't go into great detail. However, I can say the TV has a great picture, the speakers have good sound don't really need a sub-woofer right now. The only issue I have is 4 remotes-the receiver, the TV, the cable box and the Blu-ray player This can be confusing. The installer suggested that I could get the Harmony remote which would control most of the equipment.

The story of how I got to this TV is long, so I won't tell it here. Suffice it to say I started with a Samsung 55JS7000D series, then went to the Sony 810 and finally to the 850C. The Samsung was a brilliant and sharp picture, but there were serious clouding issues in the dark scenes. I went through two of them. The 810 was not as brilliant as the Samsung, but a more realistic picture. I moved to the 850 for a more color intense picture. The picture is a more realistic picture than the Samsung, though for sports viewing that Samsung was a slightly better option. If it had not been for the clouding issues, I probably would have stayed with the Samsung, but I am very very happy with the 850C and am glad I stepped up from the 810

Perfect size for a living room. Vivid colors and sharp images really jump off the screen. I haven't used the 3D feature nor streamed any 4K content but upscaling is great! Cons: no 3D glasses....; Stand is wobbly; All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and may buy the 65" for the basement home theater.

I have had this TV for a couple of months now and I have to say I really like it. Prior to this I had a Pioneer Elite plasma TV for quite a few years. It had a magnificent picture...it was top of the line. This Sony has almost as good of a picture as the Pioneer did, except when you are at angles...then the picture gets slightly grayed-out. The smart features are excellent, but I must mention that there is not a web browser. I have not used it for 3D. The 4K clarity is wonderful. This is an excellent television for the price. And usually, I have not care for Sony...but this TV so far is really nice.

This is my first 4K TV and was highly recommended by the sales associate.. The picture quality is very good and it is easy to set up. I also like the android tv integration, which allows you to sign into your google account and have your android phone content available on your TV. I would recommend this TV
