I was looking at a Samsung and wondered Over to the Sony section.I was sold by the fact that the t.v updates itself. Meaning when new Sony's come out many of the improvements and gadgets that are on the new t.vs are uploaded to this t.v removing the need for regular upgrades.

I bought this TV for my dad as a Christmas present. It was a huge upgrade from his 8 year old 32" Vizio TV. I wanted the ownership of his new tv to be stress-free so I also purchased a 5 year Geek Squad warranty. Within the first 2 years, a repair was needed. On year 4, the tv completely died. The service company came and picked it up and decided to exchange the tv for a new one. Picture was decent for its day. Like most smart tv's, it is not very user friendly, especially for the older generation.

The television had to be returned. The sound is not very good

I really like this TV with great image quality. The only issue I have had is when the TV gets glitchy on occasion. It has to reset itself. Other than that it is amazing.

Was not happy with the 3D option, it ONLY WORKED ONCE

After 4 months my new XBR55X850C LED have a vertical blue line going from top to bottom.I file for en exchange with Sony customer support whom said I will be getting a New Television as part of my warranty. Well, Sony's National Customer Relations decided to instead send me a Re-Certified television which I refuse the delivery. Yes, they want to give you a Re-Certified TV in exchange for the new one you brought. According to their customer service you either take the Re-Certified TV or they will threatened to close your case. I been dealing with this for weeks now and they are even refusing to send a repair person to fix the TV. Avoid this TV if you can as I will never purchase any Sony products again.

Have always bought Sony tv. Even though there are "equivalent" TVs for lower costs, a tv is something I will invest in. Took a bit to get use to technology and if I had more time I'm sure I'd find additional functionality to warrant the cost.

I Bought this TV I took it home and hooked it up the quality was terrible it was blurry and fuzzy nowhere near as good as a Samsung I returned it the following day and got a better tv for less money my opinion Samsung is the way to go

Very nice TV and picture but we are having a ton of issue with the connection on this TV. Shows we have an internet connection but will not pick it up. Very frustrating!

You put the TV on an HDMI channel and after you power it off and back on the TV goes back to the main Google advertising menu. This sales oriented and advertising world we live in is ridiculous and this TV personifies that

Im the kind of person who, when he buys a 2200 dollar tv, puts it through as many rough tests as possible. the second the tv arrived i immediately hooked up my gaming PC ( i7 5960k, gtx 980, z97 chipset, 16gb adata ram, all watercooled). Considering the fact that i honestly didn't believe the tv was any good, i was astounded at how perfect the 4k resolution was for GTA5. Incredible black levels and 4k games dont need antialiasing on which actually releases alot of stress on ur gpu.. i tried everything to really shoot a hole through this tv but it is absolutely perfect for PC gaming. After my gaming test i decided to put it through a movie test, i watched 3 incredibly different movies, Pacific Rim in 2160p, Akira bluray in 1920x1080 upscaled using the built in upscaler, and avengers upscaled to 4k in 3d 1080 to each eye (yes because resolutions do change between eyes, but with this tv its a 3840 by 1080 to each eye, something i didnt expect sony to execute well on). I was once again blown away with the obvious winner being the true 4k output of pacific rim. watching a 300 foot steel warrior punch a kaiju was awesome, every detail was visible. akira was very different. the smooth framerate was jarring but i attributed that to the style of the movie, which is very cyberpunk and neon heavy. The black levels throughout the movie was consistent. finally the 3d experience was very pleasant and i found myself looking through the pitiful verizon library of movies searching for a followup. Sony put on its big boy pants with this tv and im pleasantly impressed. Apart from the importance of picture quality, the tv has also has a pretty design to it aswell. SHOUT OUT TO M.O.E. for convincing me to buy it.

I Love My Sony 4K , I recommend this to my friends and family members , I also brought the matching 3D glasses to watch tv and movies

This is just a stunning TV. Downloading the new software/firmware took almost a half hour (wired directly into the router) and some of the "smart" functions aren't that intuitive, but it's a great unit.

This TV has a wonderful display. It is great for the price. It has tons of apps you can load. I love the Netflix button on the remote as well. I highly recommend this TV excellent quality.

Do not waste money on this TV. Two Months and already died, and off course Best Buy will not help with it because we did not pay the $500 dollars for the Geek Squad Coverage. So now dealing with Sony to fix it, and off course part needed is back ordered so either wait on part, or the would replace with a refurbished unit, which means they already had to fix that one......Poor customer services by both members, buy another brand at another store.

This is a great television. However, I don't think we are getting the full benefit of the 4K since most things are not filmed that way. The Masters was supposed to be but was not.

Aside from the technological aspects of the t.v., I couldn't have been more pleased with the customer service I received afterwards. Over promised, under delivered. Excellent.

I am sincerely thank you to the technical knowledge of the staff at BEST BUY in Howell NJ. We are enjoying this tv immensely.

The android operating system is excellent. Streams 4K direct from apps in the tv. Sony never has disappointed me yet. I would buy this tv again in a heart beat
