Warranty was up this past January. Red light was blinking 6 times. I didn't have remote so did a manual factory reset. Then it said to use the small remote which I ended up finding, which wouldn't work, even with new batteries. Now the tv is basically useless. I was doing a factory reset that was supposed to be done without a remote. Very disappointed and after reading a lot about issues with Sony, I will never buy another Sony TV, which is all I ever bought before reading about all the problems and how Sony isn't backing their product. This tv worked great until about a year ago when it stopped updating on its own. Bought in 2015.

The tv is exactly what it claimed to be my only complaint would be that it doesn't bring a pair of 3D glasses

My first Apple computer. Happy I switched. Purchase was painless despite using coupons, and gift cards, etc..

I recommend that this tv. it is very good and the quality is top notch

Best Buy salesman totally oversold this TV. After the initial software update was run on day 1 the TV was useless for anything other than a monitor. Could not connect to Internet, obviously could not use the apps. Had it picked up & replaced it with LG 55UB8200 for exactly half the price of the Sony 850c. The LG is spectacular. Both are 4K!!! Go with the LG for half the price & twice the picture.

It's a great tv, however my touch remote so working after a well. No worries as we use the other remote more often.

Had the tv for about a month. Everything looks great so far. 3d is not so good if that's your thing.

We wanted to step up to a 4K TV, and are very pleased with this model. Great resolution and motion.

Typical Sony quality. I have owned several brands and looked at many other TV's but this Sony impressed.

I really think sony is much better in motion screen than other brand. Interface is also fast.

The TV looks great, it does appear a little fuzzy at times when you don't have 4K content coming in.

The quality is great. The size is good for an apartment living or bedroom.

I love the picture on this TV. Switched from a plasma and I think the colors and contrast are comparable. The 4K upscaling is great - seriously you can stand a foot in front of the screen and not see any pixels. The picture quality remains good even when viewing at an angle. My only complaints are with the operating system and remote. Every few weeks the thing just loses it's mind. Not sure if its the Android OS or what, but periodically it will just go crazy - I'll get symptoms like no sound, or I can't change channels, or can't access certain apps. If I unplug the TV and plug it back in, it forces the OS to reboot and that fixes the problems, but it's, um... well, a bit inconvenient. It's also a challenge to switch inputs - you hit the input button on the remote and if you don't down arrow immediately the input screen closes and you have to start over. The only way I can make it work is to use two hands - or to go through the home screen, which is a real pain. In general the remote is difficult to use - it's not very responsive and it takes longer than you would expect for it to register that a button has been pushed. So I inevitably end up overshooting when changing channels, or if I try to type the number in I'll end up hitting a number twice because it didn't seem to take the first time, or I'm trying to turn it off or on and I end up back where I started because I pushed the button twice thinking that it didn't take. This problem seems to be worse with the standard remote, not the little one that you can talk into and use like a mouse. Other than those frustrations, it's a great TV.

I don't like the way it lists video files though from a USB device. That's the only con.
