Stand real cheap & unsteady
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv, great picture, but i can't give it a 5 star because the stand is so cheap and unstable and no speakers in front. It is a shame because picture is good. A friend of mine has one of these a few years old that has a great steady stand. U must mount this on wall, or don't buy.

Good picture, horrible software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture on this TV is great. The software, however, is another story. I've had it for about a month, and more often than not, it acts like an old computer that needs to be replaced. Extremely unresponsive, freezes at times, etc.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this this tv and I love it. Everything about it is good. Except for the sound. It's okay sound. But nothing a soundbar can't fix. I love that I can cast my pictures and movies to it

Quit working after 16 days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Things happen. So while it quit working, that gave me a chance to return it. Instead I got a Samsung that was comparably equipped. It was about $100 more, but the sound is much better, smart hub is awesome and the cool styled remote works my cable box without programming it. How do it know? The Sony had poor sound and the software can not match Samsung.

Some cautions before buying a 4K TV.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thought I would upgrade to a 4K TV and bought this Sony. My picture is worse than the Samsung I had. Went to get an upgraded box from my satellite provider to support my new 4K TV. Well, was told I do not have RG6 wiring in the house to support the new upgraded box/TV. I would need to rewire the house for this. I wish I had known this before I bought the TV. Now I have a more expensive TV and the picture is worse than TV's half the price. Possibly your salespeople should advise people wanting a 4K TV.

Good start into 4k
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has an array of features and it has a noticeably better picture than full hd tvs. It does not however have 4k hdr capabilities. It is a good starter 4k tv.

Not Worth the Sale Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV after failed attempts at experimenting with lesser brands. After reading all of the great reviews and seeing blacks and motion handling as pros for the 700D, I thought I couldn't go wrong. I thought I had finally found the best TV for under $1,000. What I actually had purchased was a TV that froze whenever I went to change the volume while watching something on an app. I got a TV with terrible clouding and horrific contrast in black and dark scenes. I got a TV with a buggy UI, terrible pixelation problems with motion handling, and unnatural, harsh colors on SD content - even after HDR and proper calibration. If you watch a lot of TV, care about what your eyes are looking at, and want to say you spent your money well, then my recommendation would be to shell out a bit more money and go for the 900E from Sony's BRAVIA line. Can't go wrong with that TV. If not the 900E, go for the Vizio P55-E1. It's not much more than the sale price of this TV and it has technology equipped to handle motion and eliminate clouding, etc.

TV won't recognize Wifi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Best Buy sales person told me that this TV is DirecTV 4K compatible and it isn't (which makes me EXTREMELY unhappy with Best Buy), however I really want to like this TV. I'm a loyal Sony customer but this TV absolutely will not recognize my Wifi network when every other electronic device -- PC or Apple -- will recognize the network.

Overall fairly satisfied
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I'm fairly satisfied. A few cons though: the interface can be slow at times, especially using Sony's own Playstation Vue app. Also, I was a little disappointed in it's incompatability with my surround sound system and the inconsistency in being about to control it or activate it.

Black levels
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually like sony tv's but this particular model is not that great, for one the black levels suck on this model. The last model I owned had better black levels than this model, and I don't know why but this model seems cheaper as far as materials use to make the tv. The black levels seems like a older laptop where you can see light coming through the dark part of the screen. I tried to adjust the setting with the brightness and the black levels, but got nowhere. If you have the tv in a brightly lit room then this probably won't bother you, but my living isn't that well lit.

Sony disappoints
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't really in the market for a new TV. I currently own a Sony Bravia 46" LCD HD TV and have had no problems with it for 6 years now. So, I get curious and start reading about the new, fantastic 4k UHD, Smart LED, Blah, Blah, Blah TV's. I read all the reviews from consumers like you and me and the so-called professional reviews. What I found in my experience, is just because the Majority of people Like or Love their new TV, that doesn't mean you will! So, I ask plenty of questions, get them answered (I think?) and then pull the trigger on the Sony XBR55x700D. I get it home and set it up, which wasn't too bad. I hook up the HDMI cable from my Laptop to the HDMI-1 port and connect the RCA plugs (2) for my Logitech speaker system. I power on the TV and it goes through it's 1st time setup. I agree to the Google policy (so I can actually use the TV). If you choose "Skip" or "No", guess what? You can't use your New TV! And there is NO Warning about this! I got this from someone else's posted review. OK, the TV is ready to go...(Please Dazzle me!)...No such luck...I don't see the Image from my Laptop on the TV? Only the Desktop photo and Icons. Funny, this shows up on my old Bravia 46". Ok, let's try Amazon Prime, since I have an account.. After "clicking" my brains out, typing in my User Name & Password from the Remote, I'm logged in and choose a TV show. It starts playing and looks "incredible!" but that''s the intro to the show, once the show starts, the picture goes to "Blah!". I try changing the Picture modes and all that does is change the Brightness. I keep watching and Presto! the Jittering starts. People are just talking and moving slowly and their mouths and heads are hesitating Really Badly! OK, let's try a movie. Presto#2...NO Jitter and an actual Sharp picture (Incredible!). I wind up watching the whole movie with no issues. So I find I can't play DVD's on my Laptop and have them show up on the TV via the HDMI cable and my Logitech surround sound doesn't work either. All this stuff works on my old Bravia. For $700 this TV is Horrible! Bye Bye...sad excuse for a TV.
