Also set does well with ambient light from a nearby window. The smart tv features allow easy viewing of different live streaming apps. I had a Yamaha av setup. The two are compatible. The HDMI allows tv content to go the Av and allows devices hooked to AV be viewed on the TV. Tv sound is typical of flat screen, so a sound bar or AV setup is nice, particularly if it woks seamlessly.

Regular HD programming is OK and in line with other TVs at similar pricing (we bought a Samsung a month earlier that cost the same). The higher end TVs definitely provide the better picture on regular HD programming. On other media like blue ray, video gaming, etc. I can't really tell a difference between the lower mid grade and higher mid grade TVs. Everyone's viewing experience is different with lighting, distance, angle, etc. so making a good choice is hard. I recommend doing some research on full reviews from the experts to help make a good choice. Overall, I was satisfied with my choice. Good luck!
