Customers are saying
Customers recognize the 55" Class 4K Ultra HD TV's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and ease of use. Many appreciate the 3D capabilities and the effective upscaling of lower-resolution content. However, some users find the remote control somewhat difficult to use, and a few have noted concerns about input lag for gaming. While some consider the price point high, the overall positive feedback highlights the TV's strong performance in key areas.

Technical Quality Good, Customer Service Terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After I finally got the TV working, the picture is actually very good but it took hours to get it working. The instructions that come with the TV are poor. Calling Sony was a nightmare. Their representatives seemed to just be reading the poor instructions out of the manual and had no idea how to solve problems other than reading the information I already had. I ended up calling three times and each time I had great difficulty understanding the representative due to their strong accents. I went to my Best Buy store and the people there tried to help but weren't familiar enough with the product to solve the problems I am still experiencing such as where on the back of the TV to insert the screws to wall mount the TV or to pair the TV with my iPhone using bluetooth. I would return the TV except the logistics of returning it are so difficult with the large size of the item.

Stay Far Far Away!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this model back in June of 2016. Just a few short days before the manufacturer's warranty was set to expire, the tv completely dies. No power, no lights...nothing. After doing some research, it is quite clear that there is a known power board issue with this model that Sony has yet to acknowledge nor take responsibility for. Many forums are flooded with people complaining of this very issue. They should really do the right thing and recall this model before this issue happens to others. The warranty process to rectify this is painful. I've had two appointments so far with multiple components replaced, but still no working television. Geek Squad has been great to deal with so far (tech has been a pleasure), but the time has come to pronounce this thing dead. Do yourself a favor and look at a different model.

awful Sony XBR-55X930D
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is very good, but the tv is very slow. It takes 4 seconds for the channel to change. You have to point the antiquated remote directly at the tv for it to work. Sometimes the inputs do not work; will not change inputs, it has several of the same inputs. I have a fire stick and there is an input for it and two other hdmi 1. when you click onto hdmi with the fire stick it sometimes switches you to plain hdmi 1 or hdmi 1 for the dvd. There foreign support personnel is extremely difficult to understand. I just keep unplugging the tv and plugging it back in. If the Samsung I returned was a 120 hertz instead of 60 hertz advertised as 120 motion rate to confuse you, I would have purchase the 120 hertz Samsung. I would have been better off.

Save your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the TV December 29 and by February 10th it was a very large paperweight. Sony customer service has been terrible and really not of assistance. First suggestion - wait 30 days for a new power supply to be delivered. Power supply delivered, doesn't work. Next suggestion wait five business days for someone to call you to make an appointment to come see the tv. They fed us a line that they had remotely diagnosed tv, which is quite interesting as it has no power and is not connected to the internet. Not helpful at all and little in the way of problem resolution. I would strongly suggest buying any other brand as this level of customer service is not what I'd expect from an electronics company struggling to stay relevant.

Something that every tv owner hates to get
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this TV because cause i like Sony TVs. I never had any problems with their TVs in the past until now. Dead pixel clear as day in the corner of the screen. Now keep in mind 4K has lots of pixels on the screen so its hard to see but i saw it when i put my face to the screen. When i pay this much for a TV i expect to get every pixel on the screen. So next day i exchange it for a new one same model and hooked it up and this one had a couple dead pixels in the corner AGAIN. I will not buy anymore Sony TVs any more i am sticking with Samsung. The only Sony products i will have is PlayStation and their Blu-Ray players

No Screws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I get my TV delivered today and go about assembling the stand. OOOps no screws. Sony is beyond hopeless with their support 7-10 days before I get the screws because they have to verify my purchase and Best Buy was no help at all. SONY WILL NOT OVERNIGHT THE SCREWS TO ME!!!!So I have $1600 TV i can't use. I am really unhappy with Sony since I have purchased Sony TVs since 1978. And I never buy anything from Worst sorry Best Buy again.

First Year Great, then more and more dead pixels.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dead pixels within a 1.5 years of use. Sony’s repair cost more than the original purchase of the TV. Software updates were always slow to arrive compared to other brands. Overall, a big general disappointment.
