There's no question that its picture quality is excellent; I just really did not like its interface. It's very Android-heavy (okay, yes, that's in the product name) and I just don't need tons of Android functionality in my tech surroundings. In addition the TV has a known bug in its Pandora implementation which was an annoyance. I returned this unit and got an LG 55" CX OLED TV and I'm much happier with that one.

We regret to hear that the unit had to be returned. The A8H is an Android TV and it runs Android OS. You have an option not to use certain apps or install apps that are not necessary if you just want to use the TV as it is. There are also features that can be disabled. Any issues with the apps can be isolated and resolved by updating both the apps and the firmware of the TV. The software update of the unit includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.
Despite your concerns, it's good to know that you like the picture quality of the TV. The A8H features the X1 Ultimate picture processor, the same processor we use in our flagship 8K HDR TVs, giving the TV an impressive boost to sharpness, contrast, and color enhancement. Amazing TV; Amazing Value.

I have this TV paired with a UB820 4K player and a Audioquest Carbon cable. When watching movies with Dolby Vision, the dynamic range really shines through even though this TV seems to have more black-level than the A9G Master. Even “upscaled” HD stuff looks really good. If you are in the market for an entry-level OLED, I would go with this over LG. If you are a gamer, however, you might benefit from LG and the HDMI 2.1. I am more of a cinephile, so I don’t really care that this TV is only HDMI 2.0.
