      We are sorry to hear that the TV had to be returned. There is much confusion about the HDMI versions and concerns about compatibility. For this reason, we do not promote the HDMI versions incorporated on many of our products. Instead, we advertise the features of a product that are associated with a particular HDMI version. The A8H supports the HDMI eARC, which is one of the HDMI 2.1 standard features. If you are looking for a Bravia the supports more HDMI 2.1 standard features, check out our XBR-X900H series or our Z8H.

    TV is not turning on and needs reset

    This TV turns off and will not turn back on after every couple of days, I am in touch with SONY they are not at all helpful and keep telling me the same trouble shooting steps over and over to reset the TV to factory settings. I would suggest do not spend 2K on A8 series.

    The TV is not working properly Best Buy referred me to Sony and Sony tried to troubleshoot the issue and we have not got anywhere someone needs to come out and look at the unit. I am not happy please help

    Don't Buy Sony TV's without extended warranty

    DO NOT BUY ANY SONY TV. This TV died 15 months after I bought it. Had Geek Squad check it out. Screen is dead and Sony doesn't make replacements. Called Sony and they said Sorry out of warranty, sucks to be you!

    Absolutely Love this TV! I don't need a ROKU anymore to stream all my Hulu programming; and every app is in ONE PLACE for super easy access from ONE Remote! The remote even controls the DVD player and the screen for DVD playback automatically pops up when you insert a disc! The picture quality is awesome of course and the sound is excellent also. I played a few 4K videos from YouTube and it blew me away what this TV is capable of! Super easy set and use out of the box. The 2 "feet" slot right in to the base in seconds. I would highly recommend this Sony Bravia 55" Android TV. So many other features I haven't mentioned!

    I went into Best Buy for an LG CX 55” and the Best Buy Home Theater rep gave me an insane deal on this tv that was too good to pass up. I absolutely love this tv. Not worried about burn in because Best Buy covers that for 5 years, and while I’m giving up HDMI 2.1 by passing on the LG CX, consoles aren’t likely to achieve true 4K 120Hz as a standard for another 3-5 years, and by that time, I’ll just get another Sony OLED that’s primed for the future at that time. In the meantime, this tv is insanely beautiful! Games look incredible, movies even better with Dolby Vision, I’m incredibly impressed with Sony’s TVs and I plan on getting my father a Sony tv for Christmas since his is hurting his eyes.
