Not what I thought it would be.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Sony Bravia 8 because it has a reputation for being a really good gaming tee but unfortunately it wasn't. One thing that Disturbed me the most is every single time it detected a TV. It would go straight into Dolby vision and when it's in dilby vision it wouldn't allow me to make any kind of adjustments with contrast or brightness or color or anything. At the same time I had to do an a lot of adjustments in order to regulate the picture settings for SDR and HDR. It was a lot of work and not worth it. So I exchanged it for the LG G4 with which I'm extremely happy!

Regarding Dolby Vision, this format is designed to automatically optimize picture settings for the best possible image based on the content. Because of this, certain manual adjustments are limited. We understand this can be frustrating, especially if you prefer more hands-on control. We also hear your concerns about the effort required to fine-tune SDR and HDR settings, and we appreciate you highlighting that. Have the Geeks coming on the 14th. They canceled one appointment and the 14 is as soon as can come. I am not happing with Best Buy at all. They hooked up the TV on 12/19/24. They seem to not have enough Geeks let to many go a while back
