    The Sony Bravia works well but the sound bar blocks the area to turn it on and off so we have to walk close to the TV to turn it on or off. Sound bar is excellent and our old Samsung did not have it.

Regarding the placement, you may find it helpful to adjust the TV stands to the Soundbar Position; this raises the screen slightly to provide extra clearance, which should help with that line-of-sight for your remote and power sensor.

    Beautiful Picture and easy to set up, love our new tv. 2nd Sony Bravia we've had. The last one we had lasted over 15 years with no issues. The only reason we got a new one was because technology has changed and we needed something capable of getting 4K now.

    What a picture!

    I had to take a trip to Best Buy in person to compare TVs with so many choices these days. When I looked at several Sony models in my price range, this one stood out. My only concern is that since most movies that are streamed have the black bars on top and bottom, it may cause uneven wear on the pixels.

    55" Sony Bravia 8

    We've had the new Sony Bravia 8 OLED TV up and running for approx 1 month now, and couldn't be more satisfied with it's performance. We were looking for a TV that wouldn't require a sound bar, and we partially chose this one because of it's good sound. The picture is very nice too!

    Except for a couple times where I had to do a hard reset the TV has been great. Beautiful image and sound was much better than I thought it would be. Haven’t used the features specific to streaming services like the IMAX enhanced, but my 4k Criterion’s looks amazing. A little worried about the long term. Don’t like having to reset it twice within a week of purchasing.

    I had a Samsung QLED before buying this one but due to the amount of brightness on it it wasn’t ideal for a small room and I’ve had a good past impression from Sony TVs having the right amount of brightness while keeping dark colors dark if that makes any sense. Overall I love this TV!

    Will not work easily with sound systems if at all.

    Great picture, only reason it’s a 2. I’ve spent hours trying to set this thing up. It does not recognize Sonos sound system, audio will not pass through unless you go into settings almost every time and mess with it. If you switch to a different device sometimes it’s tv audio sometimes it’s no audio and sometimes it actually comes through the Sonos which is supposedly capable of Bravia sync but according to this nice picture having piece of junk it is not. When you reach out for help all they want to tell you is to check your cables. I’ve replaced the HDMI cables three times. I’m guessing it ain’t the cables. If you do not plan on using a sound system with this tv then you will probably be happy with it but if you do plan on using it with sound system then do some serious research first.

    NOT A GOOD START

    Rebooting and restarting randomly. Not even 24 hours old. Seems to be an on going issue for years according to other reviews and online search. Contacted Sony support and waiting for a response before returning to store. This TV was recommended by employee. Hope I can keep it since it has a great picture and sound when working.
