I also see the A901J, what is the difference? I have big side speaker, woofers, etc. for my present plasma TVs purchased several years ago. I do not do any gaming, just enjoy tv and Netflix. Do I need the 901 or would the 801 meet my needs. Price is not an issue, I just want a superb quality viewing experience, which is why I am limiting my search to Sony products.

You may unplug and plug it back again. If you haven't tried the Auto picture mode yet, set the picture setting to Auto picture mode to automatically selects the picture mode based on the content being viewed: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/iusltn1/v1/en-003/01-03-09_01.html.

Hopefully brightness will be better. But I noticed the A90J uses a google app during setup. But I don’t use any google apps. Not even on my Apple iPhone. Will this be a problem during setup??

Never got the experience

My current TV was 9 years old and I wanted to upgrade. Unfortunately when I plugged the TV in I got 5 flashes of red light from the LED below the screen. I called geek squad and they came over to look at the TV and said it was dead and recommend I return the TV. I was still well within the return window so I brought it back to best buy and got a full refund. The 55" size is discontinued so I couldn't get a replacement. At this point I'm researching for a new TV. I'm bummed out about this but I got my money back with no hassels.

Bravia OLED LINES THROUGH PICTURE

Buy this only if you get an extended warranty

It dies a couple of weeks after the standard one year warranty expired, and Sony offers zero assistance. Additionally, even if it was under warranty period, you'd have to find an authorized Sony repair center. Was used primarily with an xbox series X. Will never recommend buying a bravia sans warranty. Colors and image were beautiful while it lasted, but not worth it.

Sony TV arrived dead out of the box
