I went back and paid the extra money to get one of these bad boys. These are FAR superior when it comes to screen and brightness level. The google experience on this machine is flawless compared to the TCL. I am happy that I was able to add my second Sony to my home. My first was the Sony A8H OLED which I LOVE. Thank you Sony for putting out such a great product.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was disappointed with the tv when telling it apart from my 2015 Samsung tv and i noticed my 6 year old tv had deeper blacks than this Sony X90J 55". And the speakers on this tv are fair quality compared to my Samsung, i had to crank it up 10 more volume levels above my Samsung's current volume level to get it to be at the same level of sound. Love the 120hz though but that isnt enough for me to keep this tv. Also, the picture gets too saturated when hdr is turned on so i just had to turn it off instead.

We're sorry to hear that you're having issue with the TV. We apologize for the inconvenience. The XR Contrast Booster adjusts brightness for higher peaks in glare and deeper blacks in shadow. With BRAVIA XR, everything you watch gets the true surround-sound treatment. XR Surround creates surround sound from the sides and vertically so you can experience 3D audio without the need for in-ceiling or up-firing speakers. Also, you can configure various settings related to the TV display such as color and brightness for picture quality, or screen size. The actual display may vary or some settings may not be available depending on your model/country/region and the content you are watching. Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — the desired option.

I also have an Sony OLED in my home theater room, which I am very satisfied with. Video quality wise, I have no real complaints with this TV. The one complaint I do have that gets it the 4 stars, is that the audio quality is very lackluster. I am not a fan of Sony's attempt on the acoustic audio that they integrate into the screen of the TV. I never delt with this on my OLED as it's hooked up to a surround sound system.
