I have a lot of ambient light in my living room and the sales person suggested that the contrast on this TV would allow me to see the images on the TV regardless of the angle of the sun and the amount oof light in the room. An excellent suggestion.

Very little gap between the x950h

I was waiting for my refund to hit and must've visited Bestbuy 3-4 days straight looking at their walls and always came back to Sony's vibrant colors, spectacular highlights and their XR image processor. As a result the bar was set pretty high for me with the X950h. I bought a TCL 6 series for my son to game and rocked it for 2 years. Really goos budget TV by the way and the only difference between the x950h was the 4k upscaling and the color volume . So 2 years later i see this X90k open box. Lets upgrade my son to some Sony quality. And man this X90k is very similar to the x950h. But you can tell if you really look, that the x950h upscales a little better but as far as colors and spectacular highlights, there is very little difference to the naked eye. If you're on the fence, Samsung or LG do not match Sonys image processor. They might look good on paper but dont come even close to the XR processor. It makes 1080p streaming look like 4k/bluray sometimes.

The software and the remote are smart enough to automatically detect and interface with my DirecTV box, and far more streaming options are available. The 55" TV's 4K image is very nice too.
