Great tv - substandard remote!

It works fine, but it has no numeric key pad to directly key in a channel. Also, the remote is small. Great if you like to misplace it a lot. Which you will.

Remote Control Hassle

It generally met, but did not exceed my expectations. One area it falls short in is the outdated remote. Most viewers watch TV, especially movies, with dark or subdued ambient lighting. The remote control that came with the ($1,000. +) Sony Bravia TV is not backlit. It is a hastle to have to turn the room lights up just to adjust the volume, find the back-button, etc. I know I could buy a universal remote that would resolve that issue however using a non-Sony remote could bring with it a new set of issues to work through. There was no "star" rating available to reviewers that applied to the remote control. For the three areas that were provided for review "star" ratings I gave three "stars" to indicating that this TV generally met but did not exceed my expectaions for the price point.

The google tv service is fluid and responsive. The XR processor handles motion very well. Sony delivers top quality. The stand has adjustable feet to accommodate a soundbar or sit almost flush with table. Fantastic tv that I look forward to adding dolby atmos soundbar to the setup. Tv sound is OK but nothing special as should be expected.
