Using the Google software allows you to fully utilize the functions of the TV. Once the Google account is added, there is no need to set it up again.

Within a month the screen started to go blank while watching a show or it gives a split screen with the same picture on both sides. I called Sony and they said it was the app I’m using and when asked why only this TV out of 4 in the house was having issues, they just repeated themselves and said there’s nothing that can be done. Unfortunately Best Buy customer service isn’t much help. Paid for a warranty, hopefully that will help.

To help clear up this blank or split screen issue, please first perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the Power button on your remote for about five seconds until the TV restarts. This, along with ensuring your system software is fully updated under Settings > System > About, typically resolves these types of glitches, and we're confident it will address your TV's behavior.
