I also own a Sony X850D, and while that is a decent mid-range TV; the clarity on the X900E is much better. I guess one major reason is that the X900E has local dimming while the X850D series does not. Buying this TV when the new models came out really made me feel like I got a great value for the price.

So it was a pretty easy choice when it came time to buy a new TV. I read all the reviews and compared a few different models. This one had everything we wanted in a TV and we were lucky to get it on sale. We are very pleased with this TV.
