Poor TV!! dont suggest it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the TV and had it for a month and a line appeared from side to side for no apparent reason. Best Buy wasn't helpful at all since I didn't buy a store warranty. I have spent thousands at best buy. I wont spend another nickel there again!!!

Terrible Customer Service from Sony
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased a Sony 65XBR850E but it was dead on arrival with lines running through it. When I returned the TV, the sales person talked me into the 55XBR900E since it was on sale around the same price. He said it was a much better TV. A few months after my purchase, the TV installed an update. After the update, the TV would randomly shut off and turn on by itself. I followed the trouble shooting steps on the Sony website, contacted technical support, spent hours upon hours on hold, doing reboots, and basically working as a tech for Sony for days with no luck. Sony finally sent a technician to my house to replace the main board on the TV. I had to take time off of work to be home for the tech. Tech replaced the main board, TV was still shutting off and turning on by itself. I called Sony tech support. Again, I spent several hours on hold, doing reboots, etc with no luck fixing the problem. Sony said they would send me a refurbished unit to replace the TV. After spending what to me is a lot of money on a new TV then being without the TV for several weeks while spending well over 16 hours of my own time on hold with tech support and doing factory resets along with taking time off of work to be home for an actual technician, that was the best offer Sony would make… to send me someone else's broken TV that they hopefully fixed. After this experience (not to mention purchasing two dead TVs from Sony back to back) I will never buy another Sony product and will never recommend them to anyone. For such a well known company, their customer service is terrible.

DONT BUY, WILL BREAK ON YOU
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is a major issue with this TV that Sony is denying. TV won't turn on. I've had it less than 3 years. I tried troubleshooting it online by doing a software reset and a forced factory reset. Neither worked. When I was searching online I discovered many others have same issue. Many of them only had the TV for less than a year. Some automatic update from Sony has caused lots of people to have this issue. Sony will not help fix it. I bought this TV new at 1k. I expected it to last 5-10 years. It didn't make 3. I will never buy sony again. I have a samsung from 2009 that still works great. Im getting a samsung next time.

DO NOT buy.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We researched all over the internet for which TV to buy and settled on this one. The TV is great BUT, the UPDATES Sony sends ruin the TV. Before you buy I urge you to google the sound problem that their updates have included - including the loud beeping when you pause the TV and the fact that when you watch the DVR or an app the sound randomly works or doesn't and you have to restart numerous times before it works again. What a joke. It's sad that it's been MONTHS and Sony hasn't fixed the problem. Don't take my word for it, Google others experiences.

Pixel Dead in less than 3 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this set based on reviews and pixels died....Sony Customer service is terrible....took over 3 weeks to resolve with asks for pictures and more pictures (their process doesnt trust the customer truly has issues). If I didn’t have Geek Squad I would have been left to deal with this by myself.

Sony Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an XBR55X900C and after 13 month's it died. Sony sent an update and the board crashed. Sony did nothing even after the TV was recalled and discontinued. Spend your money on a Samsung or LG OLED.
